Potent cannabis home brew?

Has anyone experimented with trim in your homebrew? I have a buddy who used 2 ounces of trim in his 5 gallon batch of IPA, and I guess it got our lightweight buddy high but not me. Tasted good as hell though.

Just wondering if anyone has had success making beer that will get you high and what their method is... thanks!

Use bubblehash in the secondary suspended in a hop bag... the grassnasties get into the brew via green trim. You may not have tasted it because it was an IPA and already had quite a bit of vegetive flavor.... anyway you can extract from bubblehash (unpressed preferrably) after primary fermentation has left plenty of alcamahol for it to go into.

I've never done it but I think Mr.Mustard is on to something. I'd add it late as you'd do a flavoring hops. Perhaps the last 30 minutes in the wort. Any method where you're NOT using leaf matter - bubble hash, ground up buds....

I just ordered some porter ingredients and I'm going to give it a shot !!

Oooo... dang... that sounds great I'm not sure I could sacrifice bubble hash though, it's too tasty to smoke!

I tried it once with so so results... after primary fermentation i put about two handfuls of trim (not sure of weight) into one gallon of my homebrew that i took out of a 5 gallon batch to make it more potent and let it sit for two weeks and then took the trim out and bottled

When i drank the beer it didnt seem to do much,possibly a slight extra buzz. I only drank one weed beer and then i would drink more of the regular beers so maybe if drank just the weed beers it would work better. Another thing i might have done wrong is had to low of alc %, mine was around 6.5%, so there might not have been enough alcohol for the THC. Next time i will use at least a 10% beer and use some dank buds insted of old trim

My neighbors batch will be done tomorrow and testing will commence.

In my humble opinion though there just isn't enough Alcohol to strip the THC.

Even batches with 151 Everclear left me wondering what the hoopla is all about. Lightweights claimed it kicked their ass. I believe it was more the placebo symdrome than anything else though.

I put five grams into five gallons and noticed not a high but an overwhelming cannabisness that was more than pronounced and ever so pleasant after a few beers but the potency of the beer was quite present as well... which brings me to a question...

If 151 didn't extract it I'm guessing it's not the potency of your beer as much as your product

If you want an alcoholic beverage with thc in it, make hot hash chocolate with kalua, or drambui, ar what ever. quicker cheaper, and more potent. also tastes better.
