Ok this has to be a common problem round here. It happens every single time i flower @ about two weeks into the cycle. Leaves on very bottom of plants turn lighter in color, blotchy brown areas including leaf edges, lower leaves drop very easily when pulled/bumped off. I always tend to overfeed a lil bit when i first initiate flower, and then when i notice i fucked up (day 3), i flush with mild nute solution and start over. I think K can get locked up in high salinity mediums, but by the time this deficiency appears (wk3), I have already flushed and plants show no signs of burn so i dont think its overfeeding... By the way, i always add big bud at 1tsp/gal starting at wk3. My ph is at 5.8-6.0 So thats not it either. Can K get locked out by salinity even if your plants arent showing signs of nute burn or overfeeding..?
What other ratio of elements does K have to be in relation to in order to be absorbed properly...? Im just thinkin when i addd the big bud, it throws the ratio of potassium to whatever element out of whack casing a k def. Or maybe it could be throwing the ratio of Phorsphorus to whatever element out of whack which in turn makes Potash unavailiable. Its gotta be lockout due to unbalaced element ratios. What do u guys think..? I can post a pic soon if u wish to see, but its a classic potash deficiency.
