Pot size for small auto.

Hi, I have a 2'x2' grow tent, want to make small auto's in it like royal dwarf, how many plant and how big the pot? And how big for only 1 reg plant with scrog?

What’s the maximum height you can grow with your tent? I keep all of my plants small and usually use 16 oz solo cups and 22oz plastic McDonalds cups. Depending on the strain and lighting, my plants typically stay within 12-18 inches. Sometimes if the plant gets stretchy/long internodes, i will LST and bend and tie the plants. Hope this helps.

How much light you got in there?
As far as pot size, i'd use the biggest size i can manage to get in there, and try to have pots that are morewide than tall if height is a constraint.
Plant numbers, since we are talking about autos i'd probably go 4 or 9...

Larger pot size equals larger auto, and mine never got real big with two 400 watt lamps(MH and HPS). Hell I even went from 2 gallon to 3 gallon pots with no discernable increase in auto size. Grew Mephisto strains, happy with ganja, grew fast buds and was disappointed. Good luck a few autos did get over 2 feet though.

2-3 gallon container...you, at least, want a harvest! One gallon = very small yield.

Right you are, bigAl, a lot depends on light, GENETICS, environment, and genetics!

Here's an auto I grew in a two gallon bucket .
I grew two of them in a small 36 x 20 tent.
Didnt weigh the yield after drying but they did well in the two gallon buckets.
If I had used containers other than what I had available I probably would have grown them in three gallon containers, as arid recommended.

Depends on the strain...some autos take 5 gallon whereas dwarf strains, 2-3 gallon ample.
Depending on our strains...if large autos, 5, if medium sized, 3.5 gallon.

I suggest starting with an auto so you don't have to mess with lighting times. As for a plant, browse the seed websites and select an Indica or Sativa Auto. The strain will have a description and include effects, size, etc. Pick one and go to town. Just use a 1 gallon pot. Use 2 gallons if you select a dwarf like Low Rider.

I have them but they're not ready for prime time. Crop King has a few dwarfs.

Grow them out and see what does best for you. Thirteen years of growing/breeding autos, no more than 2 per largest container.

2 plants in 3,5 gal sounds ok for a 2'x2' tent.
It will even be jungle in there at the end.
