ph is all clowntown as it would appear you know...get a good pen and if you use it every day like i do and keep it clean you will have no problem...again ph is everything
the ph control kit GH is fine .......i have used mine numerous times for one reason or another....i always jus looked for that bright yellow -golden color ....
Nice looking there old pal I have some golden skush I hear that is the same genetics as pot of gold... any truth to that? Looks great anyhow, you going to be using your cool tube on this one or is it still on your 250
Nice going...gotta tell ya after running the Hanna 991404 for awhile it's pretty sweet. Holds calibration well but I've recently learned to put the probe in a quiet part of the tank to help hold calibration better and help extend probe life. I saw you popped in over at the pH controller thread so if you set up one of those you won't need the 991404. Only gotta keep track of EC then. One thing with the 991404 is Hanna has a problem with the meters locking up with line interference from things like pumps turning on so if that happens you gotta send it to Hanna and they'll install a line filter. As for the probes they are not submersible so I coated the tops with that liquid rubber tool handle coat. Even if you don't submerge them it protects the probe in an environment with lots of splashing.
Glad to see something up to date on the Flying Ducthman POG. I started 11 POG's in January and have 6 females left. All very uniform except for one which is growing slightly bushier. Your buds look fat I hope I can pull the same off.
Hopefully I'll be able to get some more pictures in before harvest. I had originally planned on harvesting at 8 weeks, but it looks like I'll have to go at least 9. Screwed up my additive feeding program a little. I had originally set my goals high and aimed for a 1 lb harvest, but due to some problems with being pH-blind for a while (two pH pens died on me during this grow) and a little too much branch-cutting late in flower, I'd be lucky to get 10 oz. I honestly think a 1 lb harvest would have been possible w/o CO2.
Not yet, besides the future popcorn sites that I trimmed throughout the grow. And the ISO oil I've been making throughout. I've harvested and trimmed about half of the buds, and it's looking to be roughly 10 oz total including the amount I've consumed already. Lost quite a bit of yield due to one plant not performing, and pH issues when my meter was broken for a few weeks.
Getting ready to start again, in coco this time, probably this weekend. Planning on joeshmoe's Kali Mist (thanks again dude!).
I will be working on adding another 600w very soon as well. Maybe JLP's Mississippi Mud, or Dutch Passion's Power Plant / Nirvana's PPP.
I bought a 600w, 6500K MH bulb from MD Hydro ($40) and so far I'm pretty happy with it. Fires great on my blue Lumatek and hasn't had any problems for the past few days. Never seen a 6500K MH bulb before (and never seen a Hortilux Blue to compare), but it's a lot bluer than the standard 4000/4100K MH. Looks pretty similar to the 250w 10000K I had in blue-ness.
Went shopping this weekend in preparation for the next (coco) run:
3' x 3' Botanicare white E/F table
5L Canna Coco A/B nutes
1L Rhizotonic
1L Cannazym
1gal Liquid Karma
100L Canna Coco
Drip stakes, square pots, etc
I'm moving away from DWC; it's too messy / noisy and too much overhead for a small apartment grow.
Also threw in 9 Mississippi Mud seeds, and 10 of Mountain High's SSH Mix seeds. Got 4 Kali Mist clones from joeshmoe vegging out in Fox Farms soil.
Originally wanted to do a flip-flop, but I'm now thinking lights-on at night might be better to handle the potential rolling blackouts this coming summer. I'll make a small flip-flop device for use with 2 ballasts (rather than 1 ballast). The key difference between using two timers is that there is no "overlap" from a clock drift, but also no equipment modifications and extra ballast for future flexibility.
Those KM clones aren't all for me, hehehe They're for... whoever wants 'em. If the stretch on the seedplants aren't too bad and I have more than the "fair share" of males, I will be able to run the KM. Otherwise, I may or may not even be able to give the KM a chance this go-around, due to space constraints.
I started out with 4 cuts (which turned into moms), and vegged them until I needed to clear up space for the seedplants, and that's why I have so many cuts right now.
