I need some advice, I've been waking up with the worst neck pain the past few weeks, and i'm miserable. I just started a new job as an apprentice electrician for the union and i'm constantly getting myself into tight areas and working off the ladder all day. This probably isn't helping, but when I wake up the norco or the tahoe og isn't helping. I still have incredibly painful neck pain when I turn my head to one side.

I would like to be able to kick the norco, and stay medicinal, and also find an affordable pillow that will knock out my neck pain. I am a side sleeper, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am considering this pillow... WHat do you guys think?

It is against the rules to post pictures of nudity. So think motor boating.

Seriously, my pillow is pretty small and I just hug it. I actually sleep with NO pillow, ever. But chiropractors do say that a natural down pillow is best. My daughter did give me a foam pillow that has a circular center cut out, but I never use it, only if I'm on the floor exercising or something and need something to put my head on. That did come advertized with an orthopedic endorsement, but I was always skeptical about that. A lot of those quacks will say anything if you pay them.

Sleeping on your side is good for your neck. It's probably the new job that will take some time to get used to. Also do some exercises that are good for the back and neck. Do stretches, etc.

Stretching will help immeasurably. Youre probably experiencing the same pain I get when pruning trees. When youre working is the back of your head basically touching the space between your shoulders? That and having your arms stretched overhead will put a tremendous strain on you.

One stretch I like is sitting down, elbows on my knees. Then hang my head forward wrapping my hands over the top and giving a gentle pull. I hold it until I feel the tension release.
