Immortal - believe it or not Krusty was acquired in an estate auction of clown memorabelia! I had to have it once I saw it just for laughs.

OHenry - thanks for the kind comments, these were acquired from 1964-present, and yes they do each have a "souviner" quality to us, each holds a treasured memory of happier times as well as interesting histories in their respective cultures. The collection started as I visited exotic ports of the world in the military and in college I developed a love for the ancient and midevil histories of which these were part.

I am in awe of the artistic talent in the glass presentations to date, but I guess us old world farts cling to the exotic and intrigueing!

One aquisition due in any time now is an antique railroad belt-buckle from the early chinese coolie days which depicts a beautiful wide stack engine. As you turn it over the stack unsnaps to reveal an ingenious hash pipe - the bowl of which is the stack of the engine. I'll try to get pics of that as it comes in....

....just another acrylic one, but its nice, and it was cheap(for UK prices)



I thought it was nice coz it was just clear acrylic, but i get it home and discover that its that fancy Uv reactive stuff, u should see th colour when light shines on it! Anyway, that thing sticking outta the neck, above the bubble, is a detachable ice catcher. A simple acrylic peice cut to shape which slides in and out and makes a seal, it has 5 holes about a CM in it, and a sort of ledge on the exterior side which u grab to pull it out as it is quite solid in there to make a seal. There are 2 holes in the little "Shelf" one is the size of a bowls stem so you can sit it there for loading, and the other, holds a little metal poker, for stirring your bowl contents...you ca see it on the side there!
At the bottom of the bubble, there is another of these slide out parts, this time with lots of tiny holes drilled in it, and one large hole for the stem so the smoke comes out below this part. this slide out part acts as a diffuser, breaking up the bubbles into mare bubbles. A slight flaw however, this one isnt as good a seal and leaks a tiny bit, not much, but it is always damp around that part, it doesn all ru out of there though, there is juat always a droplet there, thats all! I will use some clear silicome to seal it, as that will come off easily for when i wanna clean it, and will be easy to re-do.
You can fit about 6-8 chunky ice cubesin the neck, and this means it cools your hit a lot., I havent coughed once yet since i giot this yesterday.
I have takenb the standard stem shown in the picture off it now,m and swapped it for a "Lifta" by Red Eye Dope Gear!, Its just a good bowl that doesnt screw on, it has a seat that screws on, but the bowl can just lift off for tapping out or filling, not important, but u know a stoner invented it, lol.
this thing hits really well, i did say that i wouldnt buy another acrylic bong and save fopr a glass one, but I couldnt resist this, and anyway, the glass one I want, I ainbt gonna get it yet coz its two hundred pounds, hand carved glass. yes I said carved! yellow and black, chinese dragon, 19 inches, but thats another story, and I aint gonna torture maself lovingly describing it to ya.
I will get some1 to take a pic of me hitting this new bong and post back in a while....

The nicest thing about the three piece kneck is being able to blow any stale smoke out from the top. *I usually am not the one in the circle leaving stale smoke but we won't talk about that! lol.

Too many times though, friends have blwon water out the bottom when I explain to them that all they have to do is pull the bottom slide out of the water and blow out. Oh well live and learn I guess. That thing is great! My local shops got one for about $300. I'm tempted everytime I see it. Is it strong? I was worried about cracking it when one of my super-stoned buddies smokes it!

Hey Nate Thats cool , we used to make them all the time .You know if you put some kinda tube from the hitter you can have it bubble like a bong(i cant tell if there is already one).Man,reminds me of skippin school and doin gravity bongs at my buddys. Good times Good times....lol

Hi all been busy this week but lets keep this thread hummin, here is a Cat..meow hehe and a Tree, the knot in the tree is the carb and the bowl is behind the branches. Check out all the little dichroic mushrooms at the base of the tree. I am taken new pics this week of a lot of recent work and will post those as soon as there ready.
