In my opinion there is no such thing as clearing too fast, you want a piece that clears quickly so you can take whatever you want. The secret to hitting the showerhead is to hit it as hard and fast as you can for a quick milk and quick clear.

Oh yeah, I sold all of my downstem'd tubes a week after I got my SYN mini showerhead.

You don't want them to clear too slow because that means it has too much drag, but there is certainly a clearing too fast.

I have a cheap oldschool bubbler. Its just a round bubble base and a little snake like neck that comes off it it with a regular hole carb. As small as it is if you let that chamber fill up and clear it the smoke is terribly harsh.

If you only pack enough for a one hitter and continue sucking in after its cashed until most of the chamber is cleared before you carb it the thing smokes perfectly smooth.

Oh and god my helix, if you don't smother the bowl and let the helical jets do most of the carbing first its terribly hot. There is definitely such a thing as clearing too fast.

On a different note I have an inline too, but mine has slits the whole length of it. I've seen some inlines like mad hasher posted that only have slits under the neck. Why do they do that?
