interesting u say that hazy...

interesting u say that hazy...

i was hesitant to post it in doc's gallery thread here (GORGEOUS PICS ALL!) :lurk: but..
i have been told that a 'foxtail' is a sign of nitrogen toxicity..

If anyone can crack this it would be nice,
i do see yellowing in the lower leaf of that 'matu mago' there, that strain likely has that kind of bud formation genetically.

maybe you are right hazy, maybe in some strains it's genetic

My hypothesis is that the nitrogen thing refers to strains that wouldn't normally foxtail,

the pics wikidcalibudgirl posted are not ony breathtaking, :yoinks: but a fine example of what i was taught is sign of a nitrogen toxicity?? anyone wanna weigh in on this??

again, i am not saying this is fact, just real curious myself and have always been too coward to ask as the risk of sounding crazy is iminint :p

well, that's the way the cookie crumbles..

peace and be well

Fox tailing can be in the genes...or it could be caused by enviromental factors...

Great pics everyone :yummy:

Here is from our test grow in the SeedBay Support pages. These are from Delta 9 Labs, Canna Sutra...

Was really wondering what was up with that, looked weird. Had never heard of foxtial buds til one or 2 days ago really. So it's a toxicity problem huh?

This is great! I'm trying to figure out the foxtail thing, did a search here and look what I found! :jump:

Let me add my pictures to the group, please.

These are all of Morning Star, which I have been told is indica dominant. I've grown her several times and she always puts them out. With this latest batch, the temps have been in the 80's so I don't believe it's temp related.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to figure this out! Thanks all.

All the best,
Mary

Here are some shots of a very special lady.

Most Buds in Hawaii are Thick. Fat and thick

These are foxtails.

They also have an unmistaking Lime smell. Lime candy.
