Possible virus??

Greetings everybody.
I have an ongoing issue with every one of my grows and am wondering if someone here can offer some advice. When I say ongoing I mean it's been 10 years plus since I first saw the signs. I must state that this issue seems to thankfully only be aesthetic as my yields are fine and plentiful! It just freaks me out to see this every grow when I'm pretty sure that I'm not doing anything wrong!
Anyway - the signs always appear around a week after germination. Some of the seedlings leaves start to twist and distort slightly. I usually then notice small flecks/patches on some of the leaves. In extreme cases a single leaf can become distorted, go yellow and bend round like a banana as visible in this pic...

It sometimes affects more than one leaf as can be seen here....

As the plants grow the patches/twisting appear on most of the fan leaves which usually start to yellow and die about the 6th week of 12/12. If any fan leaves make it to harvest time they are brown and crispy and dead but still attached to the plant. I also find that sometimes random branches can be floppy and feel soft and bendy when others are fine. Hope that makes sense.

I should add that I use only Bio Bizz products......All Mix, Fishmix and/or Grow and Bloom. I apply mycorrhizal fungi every pot up and sprinkle some around the seed when germing. I use feminized seed and water with 1/2 tap and 1/2 RO. I don't do anything to pH the water. Temps are fine as is humidity and airflow/extraction.
Also - I scrub everything with bleach like a madman between crops. My theories are....... Maybe Hemp Streak Virus or some other virus from a batch of clones with spider mites purchased 10 years ago or some sort of virus/fungus present in my front or back garden. Whatever it is any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Many thanks for reading

Same issue

Same issue

I just signed up on this sight and your post was the first I opened! I have the same damn problem and only God seems to know what it is. I'm afraid its TMV but haven't bought the test kit to verify it. The grow stores around here and friends that have been growing for years have no freaking idea. My plants are outdoors in the dirt and except for this stuff seem very healthy. Whatever it is, is spreading to all my plants. I am in Oregon's Willamette Valley. last year no problems and my plants came from the same friend. The third pic is a picture of the Tobacco Mosaic Virus I found somewhere. Similar, but not the same IMO

many people I've talked too, say that TMV is BS. Weather that is true or not I'm not quite sure. this seemed to happen on my white strain crosses. haven't seen it on any other plants of mine though.

Marrdog, I gave them a drink of mineral fertilizer with Magnesium and am watching closely. Thanks a lot. Ken

Hi. Thanks for the reply but I don't believe this is mag def. These seedlings are in bio bizz all mix soil - meant for growing cannabis. It has mag in it as does the 6.8 water I give them. I have also never heard of or seen a mag def on 2 week old seedings. Plants do occasionally show mag def in bio bizz all mix but not till they are a month old at least. I give them epsom salts at 5 weeks.
By the way - the symptoms were present in my attempted hydro runs as well.

Just found this on another site. It's a reply from Bio Bizz to a question about mag def. Not sure if I can post a link here so.......

"A Calcium Magnesium deficiency is impossible. There is no nutrient producer that would be so stupid not to make sure there is more than enough Cal/Mag available in any of the products. So basically, all products on the market have an actual surplus of both elements for sure. Some producers might offer it in separate bottles, but this is just a commercial scam:)

So what can cause this calcium magnesium deficiency? Because it is a fact for sure that people suffer from such a problem

1: People are not using Bio-grow during flowering as we recommend ( about 10-20% of all cases )
2: People are overdosing, causing a nitrogen blockage of the roots: a first sign of such a blockage: calcium def. Second sign: magnesium def.
( 60-70% of all cases )
3: Problems with the water quality ( hard water /soft water, low or high pH and Ec levels): even with organics nutrients you can bump into problems. (10-30% of all cases ) The best way to tackle such a problem is for instance with some Epson salt.
If people are really struggeling with crappy tab water in their area:
advise RO water, rainwater or letting the water rest for 24-48 hours before use. Since the water quality is a big problem in many parts of the UK, we are sure you have many efficient tips and tricks how to tackle problems caused by crappy tab water. Us dutchies are not as experienced with crappy tab water as you in the UK.

So, we are not sure if this is an answer you can appreciate, but the cal/mag deficiency caused by a nutrient is a myth. Cal/mag deficiency is caused by people and by water."
You can also inform all forum members they are happy to mail us at [email protected]. As you notice, we take the time and effort to answer everybody on daily basis.

Best regards,

Advidgardener, your plants are old enough to show mag def. That's why your feeding remember, in all my experiences with that very same issue it has always been magnesium related. Have you tried checking your runoff in your bio bizz? Could be off. Just because that soil says it's formulated for marijuana don't think for one minute you can't still have issues that's why your here. If that mix were perfect..,
PEACE!
