Possible to clone from 1 week flower?

Hi,

I turned on 12/12 for a week (more like 4-5 days) to identify sex. How would you recommend I take clones:

- Reveg whole plant 20/4, make it mother

- Cut a few clones from the plant and put those under 20/4 (letting the rest of the plant flower to see final product and further judge remaining clones)

I think the best thing would be to reveg just a few clones. But is it possible, and if so should I take more than two clones to make sure? They already developed decent sized budsites(!!!!!).

Thank you in advance, and peace.

P.S. I have some experience with cloning and plan to use a sterile scalpel to take the cuttings. I will then dip the wound in root hormone and place the cutting in a rockwool cubes in my aerocloner.

Just take some cuts off the bottom once it shows sex, then under your veg lights as per normal.....I normally cut clones 7-14 days into flower....just easier for me than keeping moms around.

A week into flower is a great time to take cuts. They tend to root much faster when between a week or two into flower.Don't give the mom any nutes for either for an easier rooting.I leave my cuts on light 24/7 until rooted.
Don't count the others out yet.A lot of ladies take at least a week to start flowering. It also depends on their light schedule before flowering too.Plants that were on 16/8 schedule won't flip as quickly as ladies that were on 24 hr veg..good luck

Thanks, that is a great idea! It should work perfect with my growing style, as I mainly do SOG with 1 week veg. I dont have too much space, so not having to have mothers is great. They (mothers) seem to be prone to becoming disease-ridden, too.

The other ladies are very stretchy, which is not what I am looking for in a SOG. Out of 8 critical mass seeds, I had 3 males and one good, low statured, fast flowering plant. I hope this is the golden one, 'cause the others are simply too tall and lanky to be very indica at all.
The other plant I am considering as a mother plant is nearly identical; however it is a strain called "The doctor". It's growth should be about the same according to the seed cataloque, so I am hoping they will go well together in a 50/50 style grow.

I am hoping they will soak up all that light from my bulb with their tight density :)

Your fine taking cuts a week in. Especially so since your only sexing your plants. I usually take clones of bubba after a few days in flower. No need to reveg. What strain are u sexing out? You can definately flower out the plants to see what you like and keep the desired clones. Why are you putting rockwool into an aero cloner?

I was going to say it will be fine and post up a pic of a clone from later in flowering than that, but trichrider put up a good example already. With that said, there is a method called monster cropping going around where you exclusively pull cuts from plants in mid flower, apparently going for all the branches that the clone will put out once it starts to reveg. Here is a pic of a clone that I took right before harvesting just to see what would happen(from one of the bottom branches that would have just been popcorn). It took at least a month to start showing roots, but once it took, it blew up.
