here are 2 of my Strawberry Diesel babies.they have the same soil make up and exactly the same care. They have been fed peters 20/20/20 at 1/4 strength, until today where I upped to 1/2 strength.
They were planted 8/17/07 and sprouted on 8/22/07, if nutes were heavy I should flush since I just upped the strength. I put 4 oz on 9/1/07 and then again on 9/8/07
The red spots seem to be a calcium deficiency and the yellowing from the bottom is a N deficiency..also a magnesium def in there...
Looks like you overfed and now have lockout. Put them in some proper pots with ample ventilation and good soil. Cut off the damaged leaves. Flush them with good spring water for a few days then begin feeding with grow nutes and cal/mag at half strength.
When more than 50% of your nitrogen is ammonia or urea, you risk ammonia toxicity. Peters is mostly urea. Its better suited for outdoor use. Microorganisms present in soil, not in your potting soil, convert ammonia to safeful nitrate. Pick a new fert high in nitrate nitrogen and low in ammonia or urea nitrogen.
Oh wow I did not even notice the part about using Peters...of which I have NOOOO experience with. I thought you said Pure Blend Pro... geeze where IS my head!
I would switch to PBP haha and Cal/Mag. Sorry bout that!!
Thanks again Ms Jones and thanks to u to lady 420 for the info on the ferts. I used to use Ionic nutes but ran out and picked up this Peters. I also stopped using soil this grow. I am using promix now so i expected some problems getting used to a new medium. I never had any problems like this when growing in soil. I was told there was virtually no difference between soil and soiless as far as nutes were concerned. Looks like there is a learning curve with soiless medium and what nutes can be used.
