sorry, I'm gonna sound like I don't know anything about pest problems here, the only problem prior to this that I have encountered was a problem with fungus gnats. Yesterday I noticed a small leaf on one of the growth shoots on my biggest plants had ben "nibbled" on. unfortunately I don't have a cat to blame. From closer inspection I determined that the cause must be these TINY little ?brown? bugs that were crawling about...I've only located about a half dozen of them so far...so I'm not facing a total outbreak YET. I transplanted this and another plant into containers that had been previously used, but I did scrub them down with bleach water....IDK where these damn bugs even came from, but they are eating the growth shoots and leaving holes in the younger leaves. like I mentioned It's not bad yet, only a few spotted...but they are hard to spot.
Q1. how do I determine what type of bug I'm dealing with?
Q2. how do I erradicate these pests before they cause serious problems for me? (neem oil? it's how I got rid of the fungus nats)
the bugs are literally 1.0 mm long and look like brown oval shapes. and they don't move very fast.
ANY INFORMATION THAT SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE IN THESE MATTERS COULD PROVIDE WOULD BE MOST BLESSEDLY APPRECIATED! these are plants I can't afford to feed bugs with.
