ive seen a while back a thread on how to convert a window a/c unit to a Portable Air Conditioner, there were detailed pics on how the guy kept the unit in the room, and vented it with ducting tube, it could have been ic forum ,or something else, i never bookmarked it and i should have, if anyone one has links to pics of a converted window a/c unit or any info at all, could you please post it, thank you for anyhelp on this

I think he used a large rubbermaid tote to enclose the rear of the window unit then cut a hole to mount a 4,6,or 8" duct not sure about the size and a blower to suck the heat out of the tote. Good luck.

Sorry everyone ignored ya bro. It goes like that around here sometimes.
Don't forget that a window unit is also a dehumidifier and creates alot of waste water that normally drains out the rear of the unit, the reason window units always tilt towards the outside a bit, so anticipate this runoff in your plan. My understanding of this water is it is like distilled water carrying a pH of 7.0 and is pure being it was removed from the air. You should be able to drain it to a bucket and use it. I seen a guy use his dehumidifier to top off his hydro setup, fuggin brilliant! For catching it from a sealed tote some small pvc fittings assembled to make a P trap I think it is called in the lowest corner. Just look under a sink in your house at how the drain makes an S or P shape. Just enough water stays in the pipe to prevent air from being drawn in while the weight of the water keeps pushing the excess water through the drain and into your catch bucket or drain. Good luck, maybe post a pic when you get done help out everyone with your same situation.
Peace

I'm pretty sure water from an AC is OK,I know from experience water from a dehumidifier kicks ass I get a little over 2 gallons every day of 2-5 PPM water, you will have to adjust ph though
