Pollination? :(

Okay, so I ended up with a fully male Cheesy Dick plant in my grow from feminized seeds. I've included a photo of what one of the tops looked like right before I killed it.

They've been in flower for almost two weeks. The pollen sacs looked a little yellowish at the top, but they are quite small and I didn't see any yellow powder.

Do you think it's pollinated anything? If so, how can I tell? Will it significantly lessen my yeild and/or potency?

are there dead pistols on any of the female plants?
ice water spray and ice water drench the soil to abort unwanted fertilization. The sooner the better, but with in the first 5 days when you see pollen sacs open. peace

I haven't seen any color change in any pistils. I will do the ice water drench and spray. Thanks.

why not remove the male??
doesnt look like any flowers have opened yet ...

None of the pollen sacks in the photo look like they have opened. Look all the way down the stem, if none are open then likely you'll be ok.

I have removed it. I just want to be sure that it hasn't done it's thing to my ladies, and if it has, what will happen in terms of yeild and potency.

Unfortunately I've already destroyed it and I didn't look that closely because I was afraid I might shake some pollen out of it if I kept fiddling around with it. Luckily I didn't see any powder anywhere, so hopefully I'm okay. Thanks!

I doubt he did much ,
looks young ,
small amount of pollen from a premature flower perhaps,
the occasional seed never seems to have any affect on potency or yeild ...

If anything it will increase your yield because seeds weigh more than empty calyx do. But the potency will be affected and the seeds will pop and crackle in your face if you smoke seeded bud through a bong or pipe. But i agree with everybody else, the male looks way way too young to have done anything and if any damage is done it'll be minute.

I got to say that is a healthy lookin male though, usually they're more lanky than that. Bizarre how you got a male from 100% feminized seeds..

I know! The whole thing is bizarre. He was smaller than the females as well and seemed to develop later. From what I understand, the males are supposed to be taller. He was a good six inches shorter and smaller all around. The sacs seemed to appear really quickly and there was no indication that it was male before that. The sex organs at the nodes were underdeveloped and I just thought it was a slower plant than the others.
