Wait whats wrong with pulling over people who are speeding? Speeding is dangerous and against the law, ecspecially when fatalities have been occuring regularly. Im all for fun and stuff, but this is hardly "unjust".

And if you're excessively speeding, you deserve to get caught. I hate when people think that the roadways and a 2500-6000lb vehicle moving at high speeds is something to play with.

Theres a difference between a drunk barreling down the highway in a boat of a car and somone who takes driving lessions and autocrosses in their corvette doing a few over the limit in an area they know well.. I get pulled over all the time for things which arent even illegal! Its a huge waste of time for cops to pull people over for doing nothing wrong and I intend to go to court every time they try to charge me with anything.. I will make the state and towns pay to get my hard earned money out of my pocket by going to court and contesting the charges every time, one time the cop forgot what road he pulled me over on!! im all for booking speeders and giving them driver training (we all should have done. But taking a licence away or siezing / selling a car is going too far..
Over here if the car is siezed more than twice it goes to auction, where you have first bid not as cheep as youd think. In the first year over 370 cars seized from 2 days (minor offence) to the full 28 days, with 7 repeat offenders a couple loosing there cars to auction.. this law was ment to stop serial hoons that dont pay fines and keep swapping cars... to me looks like they make up a small percentage maby 2% of the cars siezed.
Double demerit points in recent years on all puplic holidays and there weekends, sporting events(grand finals), easter, christmas, any long weekends but still want more now requesting random double demerit and fine days only know to police. Its now possiable to loose all 12 point in one offence happened to a mate in a country town speed drop from 110 straight to 80km then back to 110 . Didnt slow and a copper was waiting all 12 points beig a long weekend game over..

Training is great, but what we need is a special lisence class that allows speeding to people who undergo traing in how to do it safely. I mean cops get to speed because they get trained right? I'll get a damn light bar even..
And dont say take it to the track, there are no tracks in my state! We are forced to use old airstrips and large parking lots to autocross

i got a speeding ticket 1 time and went to court to contest it.
well....it turns out that the officer didnt have his paperwork that day in court
...but he didnt tell the judge he didnt have it....when it was my turn
..somehow the cop mentioned that he didnt have the paperwork
man o man...the judge reamed this cop a new asshole...and i mean bigtime
the judge dismissed my charges and then made the cop go and find all the people
that had already paid their fines and get them their money back
he told the cop .....i'm gonna tell you this one time and one time only ....
dont ever come into my courtroom unprepared again....he told the cop that he was disgusted by his bahaior and if it ever happened again he would be held in contempt
i laughed my ass off...it was a great to see the look on this cop's face when the judge was going off on him

What I think is silly is how you have traffic flowing safely past, some moving a little quicker than others. Then, you make the cop on the bike pull out into this traffic with lights going, causing a disturbance to the traffic by making a bunch of cars to move to the right, while accelerating to a higher rate of speed than the person he is after (gotta go faster to catch them from a stand still) is going....it's just a total oxy-moron. The cop has to speed MORE to catch the speeder. That's like injecting more heroin than the user to catch him.

Around here the cops stage an accident scene with a tow truck hooking up to a car on the side of the road. The tow truck operator is a pig watching for speeders and seatbelts. Lots of easy targets with 1/2 the people slowing down to look and the other 1/2 speeding by. At the next intersection 4 coppers are waiting to direct you to a parking lot.
Im glad I dont live where you people do! Its a rare occurance to see a trooper on an interstate in my neck of the woods. And people haul ass with relatively few nasty accidents.
