I think its horrible that people dont see global warming as an issue. Politics cloud minds . Great points in this thread. People care more about the dumbest things lohan ,parris, surfn ,web what cell phone to get ect.... They cant use common sense and understand we are killing the earth with ridiculous amounts of polution. Anyone ever drive by a papar factory? I want to barf just thinking about it. The weather, storms will continue to get worse and the ice WILL still continue to melt as species die off, ITS A FACT. I think people just feel stupid Al Gore (who I dont like either) discovered this many years ago and showed us once again politics can cloud ones judgment on important information tha is given. Also there is WAY too much money to lost by improving global warming and cutting out the polution. Oil companies are shitting a brick right about now.

Well, while population keeps rising there's not much to do to stop nor probably even delay extinction of most animals and plants. It's sad, yeah, but true. At some point, how ever, mankind will reach it's peak (if it already hasn't, that is) and collapse and things with nature will balance out. Outcome will be quite different than now, but life always founds a way.

Its not just polar bears who are endangered there is a mass extinction of animals going on. Apparently we’re supposed to lose a quarter of the mammal population. Not to mention the countless other animals, plants, and eco-systems that are in complete ****ing danger of being lost. It makes me so damn angry and sad.

I think I’m going to go read some Edward Abbey now. A true hero who did everything he could to save our planet.

It's extremely pathetic that this is what is happeneing, but it's true that people just don't care if it doesn't directly affect them at the present moment then no one will give a shit.

I guess I'm kind of glad I'm living now, by the time I die off this world will have gone to complete shit.

I'm not happy I am living now.

Everyone always tells me I would of been happier living 200 years ago.

I'll have to agree.

Not that I dont think they should be saved, but I was under the impression that polar bears are the only animals that regularly consume humans...

polar bears dont "regularly consume humans"....but they do look at us as "prey"....unlike all other bears x-cept interior Alaska grizzlies and prolly some interior russian grizzlies.

coastal brown bears and black bears don't "generally" look at us as prey.
...not too many animals in the world look at us as prey....I think the big cats do tho.

Ive seen the polarbear x grizzly hybrids too...their territory is beginning to overlap, and thats why they are cross-breeding . Probably mother natures answer to the polar bear going away.

It's strange how many people don't believe in global warming and believe it's just some political/scientific bullshit theory to round up money or something. It's sad that things like this have to happen (and probably continue) before people come around to the truth.

I agree with everything else you said! Polar Bears are perhaps the most violent animals on the planet, and look at EVERYTHING as prey. I agree, they are amazing animals and it's sad to know they are slowly dying.
