I have a #6 aluminum wire coming in from the poco to my location. My panel is a 125 amp service with 1/0 wires from my meter to my panel. The poco line from their transformer to my overhead mast is using a #6 aluminum wire which is only rated at 60a per line. My question is can the #6 wire more amperage than the 60a rated from NEC. I know poco are governed by their own rules and open free air dissipates heat, but to what degree. For example that #6 wire rated at 60a , will it able to push 80a or 90a?
