It seems like the buds start dieing from the inside-out, insides turn yellow and if I let it go it turns brown. The humidity has been pretty low so I dont get whats goin on...
Heres a picture of a bud I pulled early cuz it was starting, When it progresses the buds get to the point where they turn brown/gray and break easily.

I need to know how to prevent this in future indoor runs, it seems to occur in dense and fluffy nugs, but at the denser parts(like right in the middle of the biggest buds.
My set up is one 600w air cooled with a 4 inch vortex. Thanks yall!

dude I want to say that is botyris (bud mold).
did any fan leaves die and shrivel into the bud?
harvest the crop now if you haven't already. The buds that are infected you have to just either trash them or try salvaging them via bubble hash.
On the infected buds, cut out/off about 2" from the spot of the infection.
Sorry man.

damn.... some fan leaves did die and go into the buds a couple times...
Thanks man, this happenned to me before so this time I just harvested the whole thing. good lookin out tho, so how do you prevent this? Just pull off dieing fan leaves?

Greyskull

the only way i prevent it is to remove the dead/dying leaves.
glad you harvested... hopefully only a bud or two got hit and not the whole crop.

good luck yo!

Only time I had mold (or whatever it was that looks like yours. That undead zombie look) it was from excessive plant density and too little light. I had allowed buds to live under my ScROG screen where they never got shook or received direct light. I believe this caused the moisture to collect.

If RH is "safe" I'd maintain a greater degree of separation between buds, stop the use of any topical applications, pull any fan leaves that collect moisture and get a small fan inside the garden to blow through the canopy.

I feel your pain. Here's the underscreen growth I spoke of on the left and what I threw out on the right. I threw out every bud as well as the buds they touched. That stuff was to creepy to even think about ingesting.

it gets all slimey and ooey to the touch.
liquifies your buds from the inside out.
YUCK!
that stuff sucks.

Keyword, inside the bud!

Yup, dead leaf material will cause mold to form inside out in your buds(thanks core) Learned that a while back from my friend core!

Freezerboy pretty much explained too how to prevent it.

Good luck with your issue get mo!

Right on yall, Ima make sure to pick any dieing leaves out from now on, thanks for the insight.
Yo Stitch! Long time no see, I saw your book at the OCBC, looked real nice yo, Ill probly get it when I got the cash but good ta see you back in the infirmary!

One more question: Will rootboundedness cause plants leaves to die?

Preventing that stuff might require actively treating against it. Bacillus Subtilis eats the crap out of botrytis. Just spray regularly. But damn, it smells like sickly sour fudge.

Yes, rootbound will cause leaves to die for a few reasons.

One, some roots can die off from being cramped causing issues with the leaves, 2 being rootbound causes nutrient/water uptake problems and causes leaves to show nutrient related issues that won't go away when feeding the proper nutrient it shows it's lacking.

So the nutrient related problem from the plant sucking it from the leaves and causing the leaves to die off is how another way it can die from being rootbound.

Meta, what do you mean spray regularly what part of flowering are you talking about to spray regularly?

Stitch, the packaging (vitalink rot-stop) states that it can be used at all stages. I wouldn't use it the last three weeks though.

I did a little further research on the bacillae and found that they also eat/fight powdery mildew if applied every 7 days.

Yeah its good tho, this is my first time dealin with the mites, been collectin clones from all ovr so kinda knew it would happen. Just another challenge and experience!

hey MO the total release pyretheum bombs are the shit.
get 3 of them and do a bomb at lights out every 3 days.
mites should be gone, for sure.

if it is just a small infection a tablespoon of lemon joy per g of water will take them out, too. will just take a little longer.

good luck.

btw I have also used floromite. SINCE I HAVE USED IT ONE TIME I HAVE NOT HAD MITES. somthing to think about....

G

Greyskull

I would not advise using floromite after 3 or 4 days of 12/12.
If you are into flower the TR bombs are safe to use until day of harvest.... I have used them in the past at week 5 and suffered no ill tastes or residual issues.

yo Mo, you can get natural predators to get rid of the mites instead. They're safe any time in flower but they do take a while to kill all of them. You'd have to go with two kinds at least, one to kill eggs and larvae? and one to kill adults
