Flip the leaves over that have those "dot's" on them. Look for little brown or black specs about the size of a grain of pepper. If you see those specs, try touching one with a leaf stem/ toothpick/ end of a tag. You will be able to see the bug (spider mite) move when you touch it.

If you have bad eyesight a magnifying glass will make it so you can see them a little better, a jewelers loupe that's 20x, 30x will make them look huge, if you really wanna see what they look like.

I say all this because to me it does look like you have mites. Time to start keeping some 91% iso alcohol on hand to wash your hands with religiously.

I agree with you the symptoms suggest spider mites I've had a lot of experience with spider mites and usually I can spot them a mile off I have got some "f1" pesticide which kills them with one application I'll give that ago and hope it sorts the problem just thought maybe something els could cause this thanks for taking the time to reply

The mites taking turns infesting my garden have always been kind enough not to chew holes clear through the leaf.
I, on the other hand, have been known to wear holes through leaves with an overzealous application of fan.

The yellow spots are called 'ph spotting' and it happens when your ph is a little outta wack. The holes can also be cause by ph or stress.

I'd be more concerned with the funky looking new growth I see above the leaf. Something ain't right there.
