Hey guys and gals...I see this morning 6AM. PST. 44 voters in the Photo of The Month thread....but 100s if not thousands of viewers of the images. I agree. The last couple of months has been weak in the POTM department. I made my contribututions by voting and submitting pics.

RoT you have got another point here, nominating pictures! I build and host web sites, it took me three trys to get it right. The process should be easier for the novice somehow, don't know how? But there has to be something easier. Dr. duck

once you get your head wrapped around it, its not that bad.

I vote every month. It's great to watch someone get a free pack of seeds for the best pic each month.

Surprisingly I was nominated this month. It feels great to have someone appreciate your work.

I have never nominated anyone, but I've always been a part of the election process since I been here on IC. This POTM contest is a part of what IC is and I agree with doobie duck, we need to show it more support.

Also, this is a very simple procedure, best done this way:

Because it takes more than one copy/paste action, suggest opening 2 windows, one to work from and one to post in.

After opening 2 windows, use one to make your reply in and one to gather the info from. Go to one of the 2 open windows and locate the thread which contains the thread & pic, copy and paste the url of that thread into your post. Then click on the pic (which is in your other window), right click with your mouse on the pic, choose 'Properties', copy and paste the 'url address' of the pic into your post and insert at the beginning of that address

. Also place in your post the member's name for the pic.

That's it...quite simple once you get the hang of it. If you are unfamiliar with working with 2 windows, then simply place the first copied info into your post, then go get the rest of the info necessary and edit your post, placing the other info in at that time.

Now...I hope I've not confused anyone. But if so, or if anyone has a problem, just let me know.
