Please Help!!!

I had placed a thread previously, but I noticed I made a mistake. So I will run it down again. I have a 4x8 sunhut growing in 3.2 gallon buckets with hydroton rocks. Nutrients Flora Nova, Rhizotonic, and using RO water. I have a Hanna ph and ppm meter but it is malfunctioning so I am using the drops. My ph was about 6.9 and I just brought it down. Based on my pictures if you look carefully the stem is turning green as well as the branches. The leaves are looking bad but I have healthy roots. The million dollar question is what can this deficiency be and should I add cal/mag. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

What strain are you running ?

I had a similar looking problem that turned out to be pH a issue.

You might get better response by filling out a report.

Im a dirt grower but your Ph should be lower if im correct, substantially. Check what your PH should be in your medium and check your PPM. Its likely to be the PH.

Do not add anything, your PH was out of whack so the plant was not getting a good amount of nutrients at 6.9. How long was it that high? Also the leaves actually look like an overfert, but looking at the new growth seems like she was either getting used to it or she dropped it enough to tolerate it. Careful with hydrohuts and their plague of death.

If that was my room and i wa sunsure of what happened i would flush them out with plain water for 12-24 hours then add a fresh batch of nutrients in the 500ppm range at .5 conversion. When in doubt, flush em out, don't over react by dumping cal-mag in. Get your nutes freshend up and your ph stable.

Man, I can surely agree with the other guys on the ph, but for some reason these pics remind me of a persistent 'outgassing' problem I had for 3 grows. PuRe is referring to it as the 'plaque of death'. How is your ventilation?
Have you had a successful grow in this tent?

Here, I dug up some of my old 'outgassing' pics. I'm not saying yours are for sure, but they sure look alike don't you think?! ;)

The bad news is that if they are 'poisoned' they will not come back to their potential, not after going through this nightmare. But lets first see what you think ;)

Even if it was at that pH for only a few minutes, chances are you damaged the viability of your nutrients.

Dump the res, flush with clean water for 15 minutes and then mix a fresh batch of nutrients. If you're super paranoid (and have enough RO water) you can flush for 5 minutes and then change out fresh RO water. Do that 3 times and you'll be sure to have washed everything out of the hydroton.

Be more careful next time :D Your plants are healthy enough to recover this time. :D

Thanks for the response fellas!!!, Hey Kindman I totaly agree with you on the outgassing problem. I went to the hydro store and showed the guys who worked their my pics and they are saying the old tents with the white lining were the ones with the problem. That these are new with the whole inside with a silver lining. I don't know if too believe them, because of course they will be biased because they work their. I wanted to ask you did the roots in your plants turn brown or remained white. Also did the stem went from purple to green. Think I should add cal/mag and cut those leaves off. What do you think your response would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks Again!!!

My roots stayed white as snow, but the plants were severely stunted. Additives will not help if it is outgassing related. Sorry mate!:fsu:
The poisoning will mimic MG,N Deficiencies, try the Cal-mag, adjust the ph, but it will not help.

I would verify by removing one plant from the space and see if it shows improvement after about 3 days. That way you can, if you are lucky, rule out the outgassing and focus on your reserviour health

Good luck Ganja Brother!
