Please help with major light leak problem for two days of 12/12

I have 14 plants consisting of 4 different strains that are 2 and a half weeks into flowering under 2 1000 watt HPS's. Just an hour ago i discovered that one of my lights timers had somehow gotten knocked onto "always on mode" instead of "timer mode" this could only have happened a couple of days ago when i was working near that timer. So basically one of the lights has been on for 48 straight hours--2 full dark periods and 3 quarters of another dark period were completely ruined. Just looking for any opinions on what i should do or if anyone has had something like this happen to them before? I am thinking of keeping them in the dark for the next 24 hours to get those flowering juices flowing again?

Yeah, it happened to me once, it was the cheap mechanic timer. Nothing huge happened but one of the plants turned hermie, or intersexed... I was sorry and didn't throw that hermie away so it kinda pollinated the garden...
Be very careful and check for male flower regularly.
Hope they all stay girls...

cheers

Thanks for the response Domino,i am starting to think i should just reset them to their normal schedule and hope they just keep flowering normally rather than keeping them in an extended dark period which might only stress them out more than they already are. How many days was your light on before you discovered the problem?

watch for hermi's 2 days isnt that long.... but its still not good you should be ok.... if anything your girls might throw off a couple balls but that may even be doubtful....

My lights were on about 25-30 hours. I kept the normal schedule...

They will be shocked a little but hopefully will continue budding...
Just hope for the best and keep it green...

from what I know, there is no rule... I first noticed them about 3weeks before harvest... so, look out!
