Does anyone have info on a strain called "Afternoon Delight"? I have not been able to find anything through google and many forums dealing with cannabis. I'm trying to find out what are the best conditions for great growth/yields with this strain.

I bought about 7 grams from a collective here in Sacramento California and got a bonus of about 15 seeds = D now I'm looking 2 maximize production from the small amount that I have 2 work with. I am new 2 the whole process so any info would be GREATLY appreciated....Thanks a bunch!

Seems like you may just have to play it by ear. If maximizing your yield is important maybe even consider something else for now, although if it's sold at a dispensary it can't be too low yielding or long flowering.

This is the healthier of the 2 plants "supposed" strain called afternoon delight (thats the label from the co-op anyways).

This is the weaker of the two...not only was it "slow" in vegetative growth compared 2 her brother and sister (it was so slow, I almost removed it with the males. I was so annoyed because it was late showing its sex, a true "late bloomer"), it clearly lacks the color of her sister above.
I am happy 2 report that although it still lacks the color, this plant is growing at a rapid rate now and looks like it will actually be taller than the sister in a couple days!

The ladies are 19-23 days into flower depending on how you veterans calculate it. I changed light cycles to 12/12 and 7 days later is when I started to clearly notice the flowers blooming...also removed her brother 9 days into light cycle change.

How do my girls look? Is the difference in color an issue?

I have not been very fortunate finding out details about this strain...hope these pics will help

BIG thanks 2 all!!

seeds in disp. weed sounds unprofessional...

That was my first thought, but I made lemonade out of lemons = ) now I have some damn sexy ladies in my closet and I dont have a clue about the "SUPPOSED" strain. Except for the little attention this thread has generated...

They look very nice whatever they are.
That is cool that you popped some med beaners.
It is also a good sign seeing a male.
Better chance they are not from hermi stock.
Good luck.
p.s. Afternoon Delight was the pot on the show Arrested Development a few years ago.

Hey thanks!

Forgive me please, I have never herd this term b4...what does "popped some med beaners" mean? Sure sounds funny whatever it means! LOL!

Wow! Thanks for addressing that male! It turns out I have been in the room for hours the past couple days picking bananas off the bottom of the bud sites on both females and in some cases the hairs are growing straight out of the bananas...is that normal?

Ahh....so does that mean there is a legitament strain called afternoon delight!? = D

I and some friends have referred to those random seeds one finds in good sense as "beaners". Sometimes they create legendary strains. Most of the time, such as this, they are the result of females that stressed and hermied rather than a boy and a girl.
If you are getting bananas you have hermi stock and should probably be done with it.
I would say the strain you have is as legit as anything.
Marketing.

Crockett Family Farms, an affiliate of DNA, has a seedline out now, given away as freebies a while back on another site, called "Afternoon Delight" - Banana x Shrom x Tangie.
I am lucky enough to have 4 and I too am wondering whats up with this strain? Is there any connection to this bagseed? For example.. is this a strain Crockett had had made a while back and was sold at a collective to then produce the seeds prompting this thread?
