Hi
So... lets start with a little information, shall we? Some fellow medical users and I have the ability to grow our medicine. We happen to be able to, medically, have 180 plants, combined. I happen to know quite a bit about growing and do so at the moment. I have a 6k ebb n' flow show, that I've had for about a year now. I like my system and provided enough for myself, with excess to get to the local clubs.
All of us, combined, do consume different amounts; however we do consumer a fair amount. The idea is to be able to grow enough for ourselves, along with enough to provide additional to the clubs, as to be able to break even on our costs. I happen to have quite a bit of equipment.
So the equipment breakdown:
- I have 6 digital 1000's but am going to sell them and get 6 - 600w lumateks.
- We also, combined, have additional funds to buy whatever other equipment is needed. We have a total of $10,000 on hand, that will be used for equipment.
- I also have a 12k portable A/c (veg room), co2 burner sensor, tank 1 4'x8' table, 1 2'x4' table, pots, ect ect
Now, what I need from those that are willing, is some advice on what kind of system we will implement.
A few requirements/prefaces:
- We will be growing for medical needs, so quality is important.
- We will be providing for ourselves, which is small, but big enough group, of people; so will be need to produce a far amount.
- We will also be wanting to produce some excess, as to break even on equipment and operation costs. All will be sold to the clubs at a discounted price.
- We will be wanting to grow various kinds of cannabis, as to provide for different needs. This matters in the system building, because it needs to be flexible towards multiple strains.
- We will also need to have an efficient system, as to not require large veg time/space. Vegging is fine, but when it takes up more then a bed room and 2k in MH, it is no longer feasible.
- We will have an entire 2 car garage available for the bloom area. We have an electrician, plumber and carpenter within the group, so any construction side will be thoroughly covered in an efficient and safe manner. Its 24'x24'
- We would appreciate it if no one had negative criticisms about what we're doing. Please keep it to yourself. We don't tell people they shouldn't take aspirin or their heartburn medicine, so please don't tell us not to take cannabis.
- We will be wanting to do hydroponics. We love organics, but yields are low and hauling and bringing in medium is/can be a security risk. Coco is fine, because it comes in compressed blocks that are easily transportable and is reusable.
I personally will be taking care of the majority of the growing, as others will be doing construction. So I need help in designing an efficient system that is within our legal limits.
I love my ebb n' flow tables and have been wanting to do the buckets (ebb n' grow) but my main concern with this system is the amount of vegetative time is required.
I also like using coco, but again it seems that the veg time is something to be concerned about. Maybe not though... thats why I'm asking.
We will have 6 - 600w hps on a flip flop, so a total of 12 hps's. This means, as soon as the plants go into that room, they are flowering, no vegging. So this means that I have to pre-veg all my plants.
My idea:
Have two bloom rooms that are 12'x12' and 8' tall. One room that is 8'x10'x8' that is a veg room.
Have 1 4'x8' table in the veg room with 10 mothers and a shelve for clones with T8's over em. The table will have 2 1k MH over it.
Each bloom room will have 2 - 4x8 tables with 3 - 600 hps over each table. Each string of 3 lights will be in 8" AC hoods with a 900cfm fan going threw them. Each room will also have a 10" with carbon filter for exhaust, hooked up to a basic computer so that if the temps get high.
The veg room will veg plants for 2 weeks on the 4x8, then be transfered immediately to the table that has just finished. So a harvest every 2 weeks and a total of 4 harvests in a 2 month span of time. There will be 28 plants per table. Clones will also be taken on this 2 week mark and have 2 weeks to root and become well established. So a total of a month spent in the veg room, from root to end of veg.
Each one of the 4x8 tables will have a 115 gallon american agritech res. All of the tables are american agritech as well.
Still debating co2.
Thats my plan, now whats your's?
We appreciate anyones time and thoughts that is put forth for us. As the internet representative, I thank you in advanced.
