Hey yall, i need some help please. Im on my first grow and my little babies are having some trouble. most have yellow spots, some worse than others and some of the leaves are curling downwards. they do have excellent growth though, one sadhu went from 3in to 4 1/2in overnight (my strongest one) I believe that most of my trouble is from using MG to start them off. From what i've heard, MG is good but not for seedlings, too powerful nutes?? i plan on transplanting them into FFOF/perlite/wormcastings is about a week or less. White roots are peeking out the bottom of the 16oz styrafoam starter cups. i flushed em twice (100% runoff or more, is that right?) is their anything i can do right now to improve their health, feed em nutes?? transplant asap??

AWww dangit, it wont let me upload any pics, been trying for an hour, ill have to post pics when it lets me. thanks to you all!!! peaceout~red :joint:

Is the MG you are using the timed released ferts? 3 months timed release?

MG is good, but you have to use there seed starter brand, the timed released ferts is too strong for them yes.

I would wait till the plants are at least 3 weeks old and has 3 sets of leaves or more on them before transplanting them into FFOF, it may not show right away, but they can and burn seedlings all the time.
I would have to see pictures to tell you if you have to transplant or not. Using cold water with lots of water to flush is your best bet, cold temps release more nutrients when they are osmocote and timed released so you won't have to use as much water.
How much water did you use when you flushed them out?
Do NOT add anything to FFOF, it's got plenty in there; unless it's used soil then that is different, but if it's not; do not add anything to that mixture except for perlite and ensure that the perlite does not have added nutrients to it.

Just never use MG timed released soil. it's just to strong for plants, plants around 2 to 3 feet tall can handle it, but any smaller they will end up being burned.

Edit: ok, I seen the pics you were talking about, ya just flush the soil with around 1 gallon of water each and let the soil dry out, you got a lot of perlite and drainage holes at the bottom correct?

They are big enough to where they can overcome over watering, just keep a fan around them to help dry out the soil.
Remember seedlings should be started in a seed starter mixture; they get a great boost and grow quickly when the nutrients are not too strong and not weak.
MG seed starter mixture is perfect to use, also light warrior is good as well.

Thanks Stitch for helping me like youve helped so many others. (I knew i could count on you so thanks :respect: ) the pics in my gallery are a week old, they're alot bigger than that, they have four nodes, a pair of leaves coming off each node and lots of growth coming out on the top of the fourth node. the leaves look like the typical "marijuana leaf" :canabis: i'll post again when my pics will upload. thanks again peaceout~red :joint:
