thanks, this seems to be an ongoing problem im having with floranova... cant figure out what im doing wrong... Cant tell if i over or under feeding im still a noob

Hi swordfish,

just a recommendatioin on ferts: try starting lower than bottle suggests. 1/3 will be enough. Work your way up gradually.

Good luck

i have been doing that but the bottle is so vague, early growth, agressive growth, so many variables on the plant size when inducing flowering. Most people i talk to use lucas formula and get no burning at 8ml per gallon. I use half that and they burn, i dont understand...

hmmm

try watering -not flashing- with no nutes then. for some reason, your plants seem to have enough.

i assume that you diagnosed overferting correctly.

im not positive the upper leaves are nice dark green but the lower have this crispy dark tips and yellow and brown spots.

swordfish, what is burned will stay burned. Even the slightest burn will never go away. Keep an eye on new growth to make sure you are doing things right.

Still, i recommend that you water normally with no ferts. When new growth appears and is healthy you can try adding some nutes in the water.

If the directions are confusing then find the smallest dose, divide by 3 and start from there.

Keep trying and you will find the sweet spot.

Good luck

Sounds like they are burned; how often are you feeding them?

every 3 days ?
6 grams of big bud is a lot to use man; that stuff is highly potent and like 1/2 teaspoon per gallon is good enough to use for a bloom booster..... you are already using enough P and K with the molasses and floranova... big bud you should use spargily; I used to use it .... very strong stuff.

I would not feed untill every 5 to 7 days....... the 1 tsp of what you were using was fine; the big bud is where you are getting the kicker from; you have already flushed her out right?

Like ganja said... growth that is damaged won't recover....

Normally you do not want to listen to the directions on the back of the bottles, except for canna, advanced nutrients and maybe GH........

Ya, was going to say they sound burned.......

Just make sure you do not feed them to close together and not to strong and you will be alright.......

I'd stop feeding ferts for a couple of weeks. You are feeding about 3 times as much at a time as you should.

you have any guidelines on feeding with floranova you can give me?

Test the PPMs after you add everything if you use a TDS meter.
The total after adding everything should be less than 400ppm. Otherwise you are risking overfert. That's only if you feed every 3 waterings or so.

450ppm fed every 5-7 days? Im not in soil im in soiless promix. Sounds low to me, the lucas formula is close to 900ppm i thought?
