I have some questions that I am hoping the experts here might be able to help me with.
I have included a picture that shows the general setup of my room I am growing in.
The light is a 400 Watt MH during veg, 400 Watt HPS during flowering.
I have the vortex running on low from the speed controller so I hope it's not pulling over 200 CFM through the CAN 33 filter. (The Can 33 is rated up to 200CFM)
Temps tend to hover around 79-80 degrees in the room when the light is on.
The room is as air tight as possible other then the 2 - 6" air intake holes and a small crack under the door. The air intake holes has air that is cooler during the winter coming in, so I am guessing the temp will drop from 79-80 to 60-70 when the lights are off.
I have a 200 CFM centrifugal fan mounted above the 2 - 6" air intakes hooked up to one of them to bring cool air. When it's on, the other 6" intake next to it is still bringing air in when the door to the room is shut. (I put a lighter next to it and it blows it outward, it does not suck the flame)
I normally only have around max 3 plants in flowering. (Normally 1 to 2) Last time I flowered there were a couple times where the room next to the grow room had a faint very obvious odor.
I am now going to be having people over at the house each day and it is critical that no one ever smells ANYTHING.
So I went and bought another Can 33 filter and plan on putting it sitting free standing in the room with a 220 CFM fan sitting on top of it.
I am also going to put one of those Vaportronic wall mounted units in the room next door that the grow room exhausts into. (1 disc per month, set on the lowest setting possible, I don't want the house to smell of cleaner)
The dimensions to the room are: 80 inches long, 93 inches tall, and 72 inches wide.
My questions are this:
1. What can I do to tweak what I have to get the best possible odor protection.
2. Is having the additional free standing can 33 I added in the room with a 220 CFM centrifugal fan stuck on top of it really helping me at all? (I don't have that in the picture) And I have not had anything smelly yet in there to even see if the free standing Can 33 will add any additional help.
3. Where would others sugest with my setup to put the free standing Can33 for best use, the exhaust one is at the very top of the room on the cealing directly above the light.
3. With this configuration (room dimensions included) is there a chance I might have air leaking other places? It seems as though I have enough negative preasure (I think that is what it is called) Since the other 6" air intake is still bringing air in right?
4. Did I make a mistake with my room dimensions by buying a can 33 to exhaust with that is rated up to 200 CFM? Is that enough filter for that sized room? I normally only grow a couple of plants, just sometimes wind up with smelly ones.
Thanks for any help guys!
