Please help me choose a strain

Hello all. My name is Don Logan. I am uber-new here, as you can see from my post numbers. I hope to be posting more and more here in the future. I will begin my grow soon but before I can do that I need some quality genetics.

In the past, all of my grows have utilized midgrade bagseed. The plants always grew too big; they were no doubt beautiful to look at and smelled awesome. But the high was just never there. The stuff the seeds came from was half decent at that, so yeah.

I have been looking at the strain "Lowrider". I have heard that this strain autoflowers and doesn't get very tall at all. I was doing some looking over at the Micro Grow forum and there was this thread where this person grew out some lowriders done in a hydro setup. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/n24cz . It is the 5th post down; the person goes my the name skryllz (BTW, please don't be afraid of my TinyURLs, I'm not a troll). Those Lowriders look great! Just the size I want. I'm sure I can train whatever strain to fit my cab, but to have a plant that autoflowers and stays small on it's own is great for my purposes. But what of the potency?

I have read posts all over the internet that say Lowrider is a weak strain. Is this true? Remember, I am used to growing beautiful looking/smelling buds that have NO kick whatsoever. Also, does it come feminized? I need feminized seed; I live in an apartment and cannot afford to grow out multiple plants.

So to sum it all up: 1. I need seed. 2. I need feminized seed. 3. I have been looking at lowrider, but if the potency sucks/if it doesn't come feminized, can somebody please recommend something similar. I will be needing a good seed bank and have questions on ordering, but that is for another post. I need to find out WHAT to order first. Thanks for reading all of this - you have earned a smoke break

go with "Female Seeds" There White Widow is super easy to grow. My plants shown the female hairs at about day 30 of veg. Out of my 4 seed pack so far 3 are female and one still hasnt shown sex yet. It will run ya $28 including shippin & handling. From www.seedbay.com or www.seedboutique.com the first site is better. You also get a freebie, so ask for a few lowriders, shit couldnt hurt.

I think I'm going to go with the Lowryder. The more I read about it it just seems right for my situation. Does anyone know if it comes feminized? Even if it doesn't, I think I'll still get it since it grows so fast/small - I'll just weed out the males I guess. Who is a good breeder/seed bank to go with? Peace.

sounds like its suposed to be here! Just to let you know...
Any auto-flowering strain will be light as far as the high goes. An autoflowering plant is the same as hemp. Wont get you high at all. Since these are crosses there will be a slight inprovement in high.
They carry 3 sets of crosses first is.....

LowRyder
Flowering Time : 8 weeks from seed to harvest!
Seeds Per Pack : 10 $50

Lowryder was developed for extreme rapid growth (life cycle is 8 weeks from seed to harvest!) and uniquely short height (10-16 inches max) Lowryder flowers automatically, passing directly from the seedling to the flowering stage 0 males at about day 17.

Power Stout
Breeder : Mdanzig $60
Flowering Time : 9-10 weeks
Environment : Indoors/Outdoors
Seeds Per Pack : 10

A 100% auto-flowering Hybrid, that is similar to pure Lowryder. The hope here was to make a more bulkier Lowryder Hybrid that has an improved taste. Only the bulkiest plants were kept for further breeding. An unknown female is in the mix displaying a heavy Indica presence. Plants will stay short in stature, and very easy to manage.

and last is...

Master Low
Breeder : Mdanzig $50
Flowering Time : 9-10 weeks
Environment : Indoors/Outdoors
Seeds Per Pack : 10

A 100% auto-flowering Hybrid that is 3 years in the making. You will notice a strong Kush presence, in both taste, and high. A beautiful Master Kush female was first selected, and pollinated with a Lowryder male, resulting offspring were then carefully picked through, crossed again to Lowryder, and inbred repeatedly (Lowryder/Master Kush/Lowryder X Lowryder/Master Kush/Lowryder). 24 hours of HPS light would be best for maximizing your yield. Those in northern latitudes will find this plant to be very beneficial.

both of the LowRyder crosses go for 9-10 weeks and 8 for pure Lowryder. Those extra 2 weeks will give you a little more bud and it will be more potent.

Thank you so much for the info glasspackedbowl! I like the way you added the pics too. Master Low looks awesome, and I like the kush influence. But I just can't beat what Seedbay says about Lowrider. I know it's not as good as the other two, but 8 weeks from start 2 finish, & Seedboutique claims 0 males (I expect that this is not all together true, maybe somewhat), it just again seems right for my situation. I think I'll go with the original Lowryder from Seedboutique.

Now on to the ordering...

Can I use a credit card? Is it okay to use my REAL name? If using my CC I guess I have to. I don't have somewhere to ship it to and getting a P.O.Box would mean extra $. Is it okay to have it shipped to my house?

I used a fake name but my real address. I even put a label w/ the fake name on the mailbox. Never came

it was probably the "fake name"...If they had been confiscated you should have at least got a "note" from customs.

get yourself one of those pre-paid visa credit cards, use a safe address, and make sure the name matches (They do check that kind of thing).

Well I havent heard of www.seedbay.com having those issues. I like there site better. Just a side note. These sites are run by the same Gypsy that runs this message board site. The seedbay is there auction site. There are better freebies and I know Dutch Runs the show and quite well. I would just send them $$ and not use a CC. It can be traced back to you. Its better to be safe then sorry. Yes your home will do fine. Espically since your not growing yet. As they cant prove you paid for them and had them shiped to your house. I have recieved all my 15 orders from over the years. I have always used a fake name. Some posties dont deliver mail to that addy if it has a different name. Dont know why its just them being an a$$hole.

I usually get a 7-12 day turn around from seedbay. From the day I put cash in mail to the day I get them in my box. Just make sure if you send cash to use security paper so the $$ doesnt get nabed before seedbay gets to it. I just use a piece of blank white paper and go from one corner to the other and then them same from the other 2 corners on both sides. Its hard to see though so they wont know it has $$ in it.

Also to ensure the packages delivery you can tell the post person a friend of the family is visiting and might recieve a package. Tell the post man and ask him to deliver anything sent to that addy. IT wont seam suspicous. Use seedbay as they are run by the better half Of Gypsys staff. His old chick and dude own half of the boutique, the bay is all his.

if theres any other ??? ask away. I remember my first order its so nerve racking to be waiting for things like that in the mail.

Try some Sensi seeds Ruderalis Indica!
It's similar to Lowryder but it haven't all that's % of males plants,but the plant can be more tall than an Lowryder (1.5/2.0 m), but you can harvest until 250gr!
Even the Ruderalis Indica seeds flowers automatically.

Well I just had a good sleep and feel refreshed. Glasspackedbowl, you have just changed my mind. I gave it some thought and looked at the pic of the lowryder. It IS pretty green, and the Master Low looks so so much thicker and more potent. I am used to growing out those monster plants that take over (hate them), so Master Low should be no problem, and I have no prob with the extra wait.

This is why I am thinking of using my real name. I usually get lots of junk mail w/ my name on it, so I can always play dumb if need be I guess.

I never knew that about seedboutique. I guess I'll be ordering from Seedbay then.

you got it dude! Thats how I order and I have neverlost a seed package yet to customs or the postoffice. Glad to help, I always like helping people pic strains to grow. I too started off with mexican bag seeds and your right they never fill out and dont get nearly as potent as what I get from purchased seeds. seedbay will take good care of ya. I promise. And I dont even work for them lol.
