hello all. So heres a little info on my situation. Sorry no Pics
I've been growing a little beauty for a little over a month now. I call her Pixie
- 1 gallon pot,.....3 tsp dolomitic lime mixed in
- Jacks classic ferts 15-30-15, 1/4 tsp per gallon, I use approx 6ozs every watering plus pure h20, water about every 4 days.
At first she was doing great. Then I accidently gave her too much fert when she was little....she recovered and was doin fine
- growth was vigorous...approx 1.3 cm leaf length increasing a day, 24/0 for 2 weeks, then 12/12 for approx 2 weeks in (used fluros then 150 hps for flower)
- I had her in flower and right when she revealed her sex to me I decided to put her back into veg flowers were very small
- since then shes steadily gone down hill. i thought it was reverting back into veg but her symptoms tell me otherwise...
1-for the last week growth rate has sucked.... .1-.2 cm leaf growth a day
2- leaf stems have turned reddish purple and the main stem is turning purple too (they were a healthy green before)
3- bottom leaves are turning light green and this is progressing upwards
4- growth at top has very wrinkly small leaves
5- leaves are taking on a dry appearance
6- leaf edges are curling a little bit up and they're darker green on the edges particularly near the top
So...I thought about this problem. HEAT? Raised the hps-> no difference
->put fluros back in now its much cooler -> no difference
->left plant alone-> no change
NUTEBURN? no marks like earlier nuteburn damage, these symptoms are more uniform in the plant and affecting growth
Light Schedule changing STRESS?
------ This is what I think the problem is but I'm not sure.......I came to the conclusion that fertilizing too often has lowered the ph of the soil making it too acidic and locking out nutrients......the yellow leaf changing is progressing upwards->nitrogen locked out?
........stems turning purple, leafs drying out, slow growth-> potassium or phosphorus lockout?
SO I flushed 2 days ago.....2 gallons of tap water.... there doesn't seem to be much change in the plant
I was thinking i didn't add enough d lime into the soil to buffer the ph in the beginning so I also spread a tsp of d lime into the top cm of soil...(btw I think theres peat moss in the soil mix.. acidic right?)
I hope this post wasn't too disorganized and yall understand what I'm trying to get help with? DO MY PROBLEMS SOUND PH related? Let me know if I'm on the right track.. or what yall think is wrong with my little PIXIE
