I'm pretty sure I saw at least one thread on this method but I can't remember what it's called and God knows there seems to be a million bucket variations. Can someone please help me find out some info on it?
It uses two 5gal buckets.
Top bucket (the one with the plant) has a large hole in the bottom for a net pot. The net pot is filled with some wicking medium (lava rock?) The rest of the top bucket is filled with organic water only soil......and of course the plant.
The bottom bucket contains plain (tap?) water and perhaps an air stone? Can't remember if/how you replenish the water in the bottom bucket. Supposedly the plant is watered from the wicking action from the bottom bucket and doesn't need to be drip fed once the roots reach the bottom portion of the bucket.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks for any help/guidance.
