Does anyone know where to buy those plastic clips that come slid over the end of a pack of seeds to protect them from crushing? Someone said something about office depot I think one time but I cant remember or find it for the life of me. Looks like a black plastic you cut you length and slide over the end of the bags...

It probably does not matter because the one side is snug. The back side is the maximum thickness of either 1/8 or 1/4. That would be the height you have for the seeds. So 1/8 would be plenty of height. Either one would work but the 1/8 would be less of a bump in an envelope.

The ones somebody used to send me seeds are 1/8.

DON"T put anything is a standard envelope but letters/paper. they go through rollers and get hung up...some may make it through. But do ya really want to chance it?? Just ask me how I know. PADDED envelopes do NOT go through them rollers...they are considered a parcel....the safest way to send seeds in the states is in a box. Go to your PO and get a stack of priority boxes..THEY ARE FREE!!!! Pack em up and take em back and pay exactly $5.95 to ship em within the states...you get 2-3 day shipping with tracking AND $50.00 insurance all included. I send out over 100 a year of them boxes to friends...NOT 1 has been lost or damaged.

another nice thing about those flat rate boxes is they are so inconspicuous. your mail carrier probably drops about 100 of those off in your neighborhood daily.

Cardboard works too. For single letter mail type envelopes. The corrugated kind can be slit open and holds the beans quite well. Tape it back up. I like the flat rate boxes too.

Id say the only things ive lost were unregistered or untracked mail.

I felt pretty weird have to have the post office do a trace on a postal order that went to England that they claimed to never received.
I got a copy of the signed postal order showing it cashed to their account.
They had to send me my T shirts...hoho.
Because I didn't want to use my credit card I went to the Post office.
I didn't know you had to sign your name and address on the check until after I paid for it. Doh.

Good ol' US Post. I had to wait 30 days to file a search but they got me my seeds.
Now I just don't give a shit and use my card.

Another tip...if you need to send some seeds to a friend in another country...don't be a cheap ass..go to a dollar store or something like it and buy a phone charger or a cheap ass pair of computer speakers. take it..or one of the speakers apart..and place the seeds in and ship. I have NO problem spendin an extra $10.00 plus shippin to make sure my friend gets the seeds I promised him.:dance013:
