Plants too tall for tent

I am just over 2 weeks into flower. I forget the name of the technique, but is it too late to pinch the stems and gently bend them more than 90 degrees. If it is too late for that I guess I will have to try tying them down.

I usually SCROG. These plants were in basement tent. They should have been flowered a few weeks earlier but wanted to fumigate, use UVC, and let some time pass before moving to upstairs tent since I had spider mite nightmare. They are way past height I would scrog at.

Thank guys!! That is what I was hoping. Will tie a few just to see if the tied ones do better, in case the stress takes something away from buds. The stem will often split when bending. Is there anything you use, like tape. I just bought some pruning sealer, but wondering if it might screwup the xylem or phloem. I have some micropore tape from shroom experiments, which breathes and keeps bacteria and mold out.

Any suggestion on maximum uMol at tops. I have been shooting for 700 since I bleached them out once before I got a meter. I am not using CO2. Was thinking 900.

I never top a flowering plant ever because it slows the flowering way down and will delay harvesting by up to two weeds. I always bend my tops, it's easy and causes the side branches and side shoots to grow faster.
Make sure the plants are well hydrated before bending. When you bend you may need to bend just a little at a time for a few days. Heres a photo of tops tied.

That is similar to SCROG. How long into flower would you stop supercropping or LST'ing.

I try to control height by either flowering early, using smaller final pots or pruning before flowering.
I suspect far too many growers underestimate how large plants will become by the time it's all over.

A friend uses a spoon to bend the stems. It stops sudden snapping. I think he does a bit of crushing with it, then follows it's curvature. This slows the process, so if its going to snap, you get enough warning to stop. I have not tried it myself, but I know it's not uncommon.

If I can't do a 90, I will do a couple of 45s. However you lay them down, try and keep the heads up. Don't loose good heads and try to develop side branching. It's too late now. The plant has invested in the tops, and so you need to keep them as tops.

You will find the tops will try and turn upwards again, but if they are no longer in a dominant position, they will be lost.

The last shaping is ideally done in veg, but most people have a session or two in the first weeks of bloom. It depends on the growing style though
