plants starting to look sick! please help!

These are two plants that both aren't looking to good but appear to have different problems....they are about three weeks old and were under flouros until a few days ago when i put them under my 250 hps. The first one with spots had the spots before the switch while the second plant with the burned lookin edges didnt look like that under the flouros.




Can anyone help me?

2nd pic looks like early stage calcium def.

They look overwatered, and overfertilized. Transplant to bigger container and lay off the ferts for a seedling.

one more to try, to make it harder for you to deside what to do...
- are you jusing moltch in the bottum? loks like thay have rooted and gotten a good watering, so maybe thay need som aire, roots cant breath , sult buildup, than thay show many defissensies...

im just using some regular potting soil from the store and i havent given them any fertilizer at all yet so i dont know how they could be over fertilized....what about heat stress could that cause this? it might be a little warm in my cab...

No, it's what i n hail said. Simple calcium def. Easily found in mynamestitch's sick plant guide.

The leaves are too dark so I think You did N overdose and that you are on your way to nutlock. Try the leaves if they are soft its N overdose. Or it could be K deficiency.

thanks for all the input and advice guys...after reading this thread http://icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688 im pretty sure i have a calcium deficiency so now i think i need to get some lime to fix the problem...can i get that at a place like home depot or do i need to go to a garden store?

Well, "regular" potting soil can be too hot for seedlings, depending on the type of soil. For seedlings , you should be using starter mix, and mix some perlite in with it. I recommend flushing, and transplanting to a bigger pot/cup with a light mix in it, and see how it goes. Good luck.
