OK well heres the deal I had 9 baby chronic seedlings outside about a week in a half old and today I go check on them and there gone. Fucking tops munched right off all thats left is the stems. So depressing.....so I guess what I'am going to do is buy some more chronic seeds and maybe a few other strains. Can anyone advise what to do to keep animals away from the young plants? I was thinking of getting like chicken wire or something and putting it around them to keep away the damn rabbits which is whats mostly around here.

Do animals tend to bother the plants when there bigger? Also do you think I'd get the seeds in time to still plant outdoors or what? Id pay using a money order so.

You might have time. Depends where you are at. If you have a late fall or not. I would try to get cuts will be faster for you. But im sure you could get some beans out in time. Just most likely won't beable to sex them before you put them out.

Yeah u have time for startin seeds till 6 month. The animals which ate that seedlings could be snails if there are some?! And , when the plants are bigger trere is almost no danger to them except some big animals like dears...

chicken wires the absoloute only thing i find to help in keeping deer from eating my plants.

i think the deer population in my area is booming but it seems like no matter how much other foliage there is for them they will search out to find cannabis.

as mentioned above though, they seem to stay away one the buds are more developed

I feel for you. A few years back I had a whole crop eaten by rats that got into my basement growroom nothing left but a few stem nubs with chew marks and it was right after i put them on a 12/12 cycle.

Hmmm, if you used bag seed it wouldnt matter that your plants got eaten because you could just pop a few new FREE seeds in the ground and get some nice plants.

Yeah I suppose so but I didnt use bagseed. So I guess I'm gonna buy some more chronic seeds soon and some skunk probably too. This time Ill take more precautions.

Howdy Xdox,

I agree with the idea of chicken wire (or something). Another thing that you might want to consider using is hot pepper sprays. They are not to expensive (or you can read the ingrediants and then make your own. It lasts for a while, but heavy rain will shorten its effective period. You can spray it directly on the plant right up to harvest if you need to, all the types that I have seen are safe for eating etc. I could stretch a bottle over all my babes (around thirty) and applied it every week till early August.

Another option is a product called liquid fence. This you spray in a circle around the plant. By using both of these last year I didn`t loose one plant to hungry pests! Though high winds are another story, ha!!

Good luck growing monster. peace halfdef

..... Once they start to bud you are good to go. Have you ever chewed a piece of fresh bud? It actually feels like it is burning your mouth
Actually, during very dry summers I have had Deer and Cattle both eat fairly mature buds. I do agree that the chances of deer eating your plants does go down when bud is present, but they will still eat it sometimes.

How about this? Getting an egg, some chili peppers, chill pepper juice , some hot sauce, ground pepper, some other peppers, some of your own piss, some soap umm some mints a chewed up starburst, some mustard i think thats it then i put it in a bottle oh also i sprayed some air freshner stuff in the bottle too and put it out in the sun. If I put this around my plot do you think the animals would like it or what? Or perhaps put some cotton balls in a bottle and then put some holes in the bottom and hung it from a tree and then added my mix in this way it slowly drips out. What do you guys think? Animals would like it or no? I cant imagine they would
