Hey guys, havin some problems here, hopin someone with some skills can check it out.

All the plants are growing in 2-liter bottles with sta-green indoor mix soil(no added ferts)with added perlite, lime and some top soil.I just gave them a second feeding of GH flora nutes Wednesday night at 1&1/2 tsp. of gro,1tsp. each of micro and bloom.

Lighting is 400 watt hps.Temps have been about 75-80F day,65-70F night.

I,ve got 2 4" intakes from outside and a 4" exhaust goin out with the help of the stanley blower.

Gimme some help fellas, don't wanna lose these babies.Oh yeah, the first plant is a hashberry and the 2 side by side are white rhino.

Thanks much ICM.

P.S. I noticed algea on some of the bottles,is this my culprit?

Strain of Mj?
Hydroponic or soil?
From seed or clone?
Age of plant in question?
What stage (Veg/Flower; how many days into)?
Medium (Soil, Rockwool, Hydroton etc.)?
Container/Pot size?
Have they been transplanted, if so how long ago?
If soil, composition ratios (peat moss, perilite, vermiculite etc.)?
Water runoff Ph?
Nutrients added?
Ratios of nutrients (N% P% K%)?
Feeding schedule?
When were they last fed/watered?
How are you determining when to feed/water (weight, wilting, etc.)?
TDS/EC/PPM?
Tap/RO/Distilled water?
Ph before and after adding nutrients?
Is your Ph equipment properly calibrated?
Light intensity/Age of bulb/Wattage?
Distance to the canopy?
Temps at canopy?
Temps at root zone or reservoir?
Day/Night temps (Min.-Max.)?
Current air flow (CFM)?
Is there air blowing directly onto plant?
Using CO2?
Relative humidity?
Growing technique (Scrog, Sog, Supercropping etc.)?
Has plant recently been pruned, clones taken, fimmed or pinched?
Pests?
Chemicals used to irradicate?
If so,When?
To just look at it, it looks like Mg problems. Giving the info. to the above questions will go a long way to pinpointing the problem .

Not all lime is the same

Not all lime is the same

You should check the label on the lime bag. What is the % of elemental calcium and magnesium? Hopefully, its pulverized/powdered and not pelletized. How much lime did you use?

Ph is important. You should be adjusting the fert water ph after mixing. Also, test the runoff of the bottles after watering. What you do is wait 30 minutes after watering/ferting well. Apply a small amount of distilled water till 1 or 2 ounces of runoff comes out the bottom. Test this ph. If you can tilt the pot (after watering and waiting 30 min) and get some liquid out, you can test that instead. Appears your using soilless potting mix... 5.6 to 6.2 ph is about right.

When watering, 20% of what you apply should pour out the bottom. You want runoff.

If your going to use 1 1/2 teaspoons grow per gallon, you would add 1 teaspoon micro and only 1/2 teaspoon bloom.

Do you have any drain holes in those 2 liters? If you've got algae growing, it's probably staying too moist...which could mean you have root issues as well.

Hey MTF-Sandman,yea I've got 5 ,1/4" holes in the bottoms and also slitted the sides of the bottles with a knife.I actually let them dry out pretty good b4 the last watering, maybe too dry?

That's actually the first good dose of ferts they have had and they are about 6 weeks old.Had some temp problems from the get go that stunted them and I've only had good growth the past couple weeks.I attemted fimming about a week ago and they seem to be doing ok.these plants are with 6 others that look great.

Blackvelvet-I'm not gonna put much weight in your advice because I've seen 2 many people dispute it.

Thanx for the replies!!!!

looks kinda like a Mg problem, try adding 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of epsum salts to a gallon of water (or ferts) also try to keep your ph between 5.9 and 6.3.

with the alge thing happening.....and the different defs ur having.....perhaps its overwatering, leading to nute lock up or out.....JMO

If the roots arent spread out and all the way to the bottom of those pots a good watering will sit on the bottom and cause root problems...

How dry is dry

Hey guys, thanx alot for the responses.

Well,I had to take one of these plants out and look at it and there was surely roots down to the bottom of the bottle and they were all covered with green algea.

I have also noticed these symptoms spreading to the other plants. As I started takin the plants out of the 2-liters I saw that the roots in most of them were covered with green algea.I also noticed the soil was pretty dried out.I ended up transplanting all of the plants to their final containers which is 3 gallon trash cans.

I'm hopin this will cure my problem......any more thoughts???

more air holes in your pots....less water overall....(alge can only form in a moist enviornment so its to wet)

The next question to answer would be...... Whats your medium.....??

Van

Oh I have this to add......Those clear plastic bottles are the reason for the alge.....like a fish tank......thats why flower pots are solid colors and not clear...JMO

Use an enzyme product like Hygrozyme and a root protector like Hydroguard.

That will help clean up those roots.

I don't think algae is what caused those problems with your leaves though.

That leaves look to have a nutrient issue I'm not sure what though so sorry bout that.

Try the Hygrozyme though if you can get it stuff works great at keeping roots healthy.

I def agree with MedUser...also though, I would say u have a burn startin due to too much nutes for the first feeding...I dont know about ur nutes, but I usually go very lite dosage for the first feeding, then work my way up...Transplant them, then flush them, and Ill bet ur problem goes away, just my .02...

Me thinks you should change your pots for larger ones, after 6 weeks they are root bound.
And try letting them dry(not til they wilt) before watering ,this helps for the oxygen level in your soil.

PEACE
