Anyone know how well tropical plants hold up through frost? I got some that finish in November. I'm around 36 north. First frost here is between oct 15 and 30. Peace
IMO cannabis can handle cold temps above frost pretty well Haze specifically . It is when the rain coupled with the cold temps stick around a few days that things go wrong . Try to keep dry and be watchful as cold sets in
Something I just learned on the news the other day that I found interesting. They said that well watered plants can handle a mild frost better than a plant that is water stressed or dehydrated. So water them good if your expecting a frost.
Peace GG
You can try garden fabric...they use it against frost on fruit trees and tropical plants..i dont have any experience with it but it can be useful if you can avoid mold.
Cool. I saw some frost blankets a few days ago. I checked the forecast for oct/nov. and did not see any frost for October, but probably should buy something to cover them
In my experience the frost blanket is necessary. And it depends how hard the frost is..I'm at 45' north and 3000ft elevation so we can frost here for sure. without a cover first frost adds dark color. Second adds dark and takes green. third takes more green and quality ect..ect.. the rain/frost combo is bad ..i learned all this the hard way uncovered..keep em covered for sure and pray for good weather..watch the quality and pull early only if you have to..try to see it through!
