hello everyone,
im planting clones outside i have my site picked out i have holes dug and soiled replaced in the holes to plant the clones. its june 1st, 2010 today and more people around me in be plant may long (may 24th) but the weather is raining and overcast here in B.C. And at the same time my clones are one 2 weeks in and just getting ready to go at 2-3inch but i need them bigger to transpot them outside im told by everyone and everything i read!!! so i need a little help... 1.) is having them inside for say 2 weeks and growing them than planting them once they get bigger gonna effect my harvest and how much i pull off each plant? 2.) how big should they be? is like 1ft good enough? 3.) when i bring them outside am i able to plant them in the ground right away and just controll easing them in to sunlight by tarping them each day to harden them up? 4.) is there anything i should add to there dirt or the holebefore i put it in the hole?

i have put deer repelant put up fences and put skunk spray around the area to keep people and aminals out im ready to go just need some help from here on out!!!

Thanks alot and would appreciate and be accepting to any other tips anyone might have, this is my first go around outside only what ive read and herd. and know little about inside. :ying:

in general, outdoor plants will survive and yield more overall the bigger/stronger they are when u transplant.

tips for planting strategy: give them an hour of weak light a day behind glass for 7 days before going outside; and or plant during rainy/cloudy periods; and or spray them with a anti transpirant to prevent any crippling outdoor wilting/weather and or plant after june 1 to avoid shady late springs.

i foot plants would be awesome, but ive grown from seed outside. depends on ease of transport, hike to spot etc,

plant right in the ground to avoid any potential probs w weather.

other then that read the outdoor section of jorges grow bible to build some confidence.

id make sure to saok them in a bvitamin for the drive/transplant and saok em down with the same mix, thryl like that to prevent any shock, d

yeah im going to controll the light the first week. but i was wondering if i could just do it by planting them in the ground and than tarping the plants and for half of each day, rather than physically moving them in and out of the sun in there beer cups.

for the soil i used miracle grow and haded worm meal to each bail and dug a whole 7in in diameter and 12inch in the ground. im letting the fertilizer sit in the hole probibly 2 weeks before i bring the clones in at the height of 12inchs.

1.) am i gonna be putting them in to late on june 15th (longest day of the year being june 21st) ?

2.) will planting and tarping them be ok or do i have to moved them and let them get hardened in there cups for the first week.

3.) what are sun spots?

4.) can black ants ruin or do anything to your crop?

any other tips for taking care of, or to watch out for when planting outside would be appreciated ive read up alot but im a first timer so anything helps!!!!

Ashton from B.C, Canada!! Kelowna/ Okanagan to be specific

and any other tips things i should do

they will love the MG and earthworm poo.

Plants need to be adjusted to living outside. If tender clones are put outdoors in harsh sunlite without adjustment period, they will get sun spots or bleaching.

This is a whitening of a spot or the entire leaf. Severe cases will kill a plant.

Sit the plants under a shady tree for a day or two, then plant.

Don't drape stuff over them. bad idea. humidity could get too high or if forgotten could kill plants.

Get some chicken wire and make a tall circular cage about 4 feet tall.

Bury 8 inches in the ground with the plant in the middle.

This will protect it from deer and stuff. If you don't it will get eaten.
