Plant turning yellow then brown

Hi all, noob here, I am having problems with a few plants and am trying to figure out what it is. I have tried a few things but I think I am making it worse. Please help, I am really trying and have been searching for days through old threads. My plants are turning lellow in the fan leaves from bottom going up, its splotchy, almost looks like rust and has dried up dead areas spreading from the yellow from leaf tip to stem

How long has this problem been going on? about two weeks

What STRAIN are you growing? Blueberry

What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)seed

What is the age of your plants?6weeks

How Tall are the plants? 8 inches

What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? vegitative

What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) just standard let it do its own thing

What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) one plant per 2 gallon pot.

What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) miricle grow, the kind that feeds for 3 months, i know now to never use it again but its too late this time

What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each with how much water? How Often? *Knowing the brand is very helpful* used a half stick of miriclegro stick at 4 weeks

What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?no clue, its the normal crappy mirical gro sticks

What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? Last I checked it was lower than 6.6

What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? stupid spa strips, i used the really crappy ph testing stick and it is saying about 5.5 at root level

How often are you watering?bout once every 3 days but over watered trying to add magnesium and lower ph

When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?miricle grow at 4 weeks, half stick

What size bulb are you using? 3 ott lites (cfl) 2 inches from plant tops, 4 26 watt cfls 6500k, one 45 watt 2300k cfl. about 220 watts actual power

What is the distance to the canopy?well the ceiling is about 3 1/2 feet up for now but bulds hang close to plants

What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)between 40% and 60%

What is the canopy temperature?about 84 degrees

What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) in 24/0 so it is steady between 78 and 85 degrees, house is at 76 to 78 degrees

What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) currently keeping door open since no worry of light leak, not alot of wind, will be adding a box fan converted to an inline with ducts in about a week.

Is the fan blowing directly at plants? No

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? Not usually but has been this week

Is your water HARD or SOFT? Not hard, so im guessing soft

What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap water

Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? Nope, i did cut some dead area away on one plant to monitor the progress

Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? nope

Are plant's infected with pest's? No or at least none I can see

My setup is still growing, like I said I am a noob, I have a 400 watt hps lamp coming, will be building a inline fan setup and will use a few of my cfls for side lighting while setting up a veg box with my unused cfls. please help me save my babies, I really need to learn nutrients better. I have a very thin layer of sand covering the soil, an old friend said it would keep mites out. Also the plants all suffered from streching, not knowing any better the plants were all left on a badly lit windowsill due to not having lights or space for all of them. I will be trying to support them to help if needed but since being put under the cfls the plants have been filling out alot and the stems have double in size.

its a dose of heatstress. get as much ventalation into your growspace as poss till you get the box fan going.

Nute burns + get your fan up and running.
I used the same soil my first grow and got burns everywhere, when I transplanted into good soil from my grow supplier it took about a week to recover. I also bought some pureblend pro which showed effect right away.
ps. I transplanted at about 8 weeks aswell , its not too late just be careful with the roots.

Blueberry is a very nutrient picky strain. Its not a easy one to grow from my experience. If you dont mind can we have a picture of the full plant? so i can see the over all health of the plant and other possible symptoms.

So far its looking like lack of Potassium and or nitrogen. Which could be a ph issue. just my observations from a small amount of a picture.

also try to get those temps around 79.

I'm kind of radical about this sort of thing.

Those plants are still very small so you are in luck...maybe.

IMO, you need to transplant those plants right now into some good soil. Go look on the Organic Forum Sticky notes for beginners for 2 different soil mixes you can make very easily.

Your plants will thrive again when they are in decent soil. You keep them in the crap you have now and you will be FOREVER screwing around adding, this that and the other thing trying to help them along. That is a NO win game.

So do your plants a favor and give them new, properly made, soil(soiless mix) while they are still young and small. And learn how to feed and water them properly. There is info over on Organics on that too.

whoo didn't see the Mirical Grow soil. Yes... that crap sucks! and no amount of flushing will help it.

Just figured I would update you guys as to how my girls are doing, almost 40 days in 12/12 and 23 days flowering. Changed my setup a tad :rasta:

I think they like the 400 watts of hps :muahaha:

Ok my girls are looking much better than they did when I first started this but I have one thats showing a lot of yellow. I am pretty sure its either nitrogen def. or lockout but the ph pen is the last thing I need to get and I am sick of the ph stick and spa test strips, im gonna buy one of those ph pens from ebay. I flushed the soil to balance the ph then gave it a watering with some miricle gro bloom fertz at almost full strength.

I am wondering whether I should give it some more ferts to give it more nitrogen or if I should wait it out and not do anything till I get my ph pen in 6 days (need my paycheck, im friggin broke lol). I have seen some people lose a lot of leaves when flowering and some pictures show buds on stems and thats about it, the buds have leaves but and look awsome but all the fans are gone. Some people seem to not lose any leaves at all. Pictures are at 20 days flowerin and 30 something days in 12/12. I know in a few weeks I am supposed to let it get a nitrogen problem but this seems too early.
