Received a sample of Plant Pudding from my local Hydro shop. Was told it would organically control my Fungus Gnats problem.

Any users out there care to elaborate?

Product description for Insect Frass: 100% Organic plant food, and so much more...
Naturally contains the nutrition plants require, beneficial micro-organisms, and the only immediately plant-available source of chitin (pronounced “Kite-in”). Chitin fortifies a plant from the inside out, causing an "auto-immune" response that signals a plant to produce natural toxins which fend off its natural enemies like pests and fungal pathogens. The EPA says that chitin and chitosan (see FAQ's) defend against botrytis (grey mold), powdery mildew, early and late blight, fungal pathogens in the root zone (root rot) and root-feeding nematodes. Insect Frass does NOT cause a plant to kill beneficial insects or beneficial nematodes.

this might be a bit late, but i am a firm believer in fly frass. i make compost tea in a concentrated 3 gallons and dilute that down at a 1:5 when i water my plants. the two ingredients that are in every one of those teas is molasses and insect/or fly frass (seen it listed as either or depending on retailer and type of bug used to make the poo). because every tea is diluted 5:1 with plain water my plants get a compost or nutrient tea every watering and in doing so, every 4-6 days my plants and soil gets treated with the frass. i used to be the type of person with diatomaceous earth all over the veg room to control flying shits. now i strictly use only insect frass and ladybugs in both the veg and fruiting rooms. if your strict with applying it as a foiler through veg every ten days or so up till week 2 of flower i have noticed only positive things and no bug outbreaks :) notice how I'm saying no outbreaks... that doesn't mean i don't see any bugs at all, i just don't worry about them multiplying faster then the plant/harsh environment takes care of them. also the ladybugs don't seem to mind it and they keep the mites and aphids at bay. just remember when switching to an all organic environment its about staying on top of the pest and reacting before they exist haha its your garden like reflexes at work..knowing what can/will happen before it happens.

i use this package called "Its The POOP" Pure insect frass 100% natural Musca Fly Frass
