Are plant's infected with pest's - they shouldn't be but wanted to make sure. I found a few mites and a few eggs on 1 leaf on one of my flowering plants.

These clones were doing well, they are sitting in a small rubbermaid tub acting as a catchtray. They were cloned and transplanted into soil as they showed roots breaking through my peat plugs. They were transplanted over the course of a week or so. 1 or 2 a day.

They got fed and put in the tray 8 days ago, they got a 6.5ph bottom feed of water 4 days ago. and yesterday they looked like this.

you can see clearly in this one how the gloss is leaving the leaves.

They received a 32oz flush of 6.5ph water yesterday before getting fed 5oz of half-str lucas formula GH micro-bloom (4ml/8ml). they still look like this today.

I think your plants look fine :) Sure shiny leaves are pretty to look at, but I would not jump to conclusions. One thing I noticed in the information you left us is that you "used 4/8ml GH nutes, half strength Lucas".

When I read about Lucas for what seemed like months i read that plants under CFL lights should always be fed half strength. They do not have enough light available to metabolize the food you are giving them if you are going over half strength Lucas.

Also, a fan should not be blowing directly on to the plants, it should be recirculating. Your plants cannot "sweat" effciently when thier leaves are constantly being blown.

So you have flushed them out, and fed with half strength Lucas (good choice). I would say sit back and enjoy the show. Soil take s along time to show negative/positive changes. Thats why it can be very forgiving except for when people over analyze and make adjustments, constantly chasing something.

They really look fine, maybe someone else will pop in and have experience with "losing the shine" lol

well they did get one feeding of 3-2-1 tsp/gal GH 3part when they were younger. I waited a pretty long time after they were transplanted to feed them with that. I since moved onto the lucas formula since it's very easy to use and seems to be what they like.

PuRe - That's a good point about always feeding them half-str under flouros. You know, you might be onto something there. I've had nute trouble in my veg cab for a while now and i think you just mightve led me in the right direction!!! Thank you!!

AG - Thanks, i will watch out for that in the future.

I just couldn't figure out wth is going on with them. They looked fine and week later are loosing gloss all over. I thought it was some sorta disease or something.

I'm continue with the half-str lucas for them and see if they bounce back. If not i will have to transplant them into bigger containers and see if that helps.

Anyone else with any opinions???

No problem spade, thats what we are all here for. They look like they could be potted up for sure. They look fine, not all plants are glossy, they look normal.

if there losing there glossyness then there needing more nitrogen. give them a "organic" feed with high nitrogen levels.

peace.
