when can we expect, or is it already in practice the ability to submit plant material and get a breakdown of what strain it is comprised of?

thanks ester. can you provide any info? hippy- i read that too. i was surprised you can take dead , aged plant material and regenerate it. way cool. it also made me wonder if those strains are associated with a former member here whose strains were hunter s thompson themed???

that was my belief too but the article alluded to them regenerating it which is what surprised me.

The article is bullshit, you can't reanimate DNA into living organisms. Jurassic Park is fiction, and so are the claims.

Yes there are a few companies doing this work now, Phylos and Medicinal Genomics are the top 2.

I have a couple of Pinks and will be sending that DNA for comparison, the data base is always growing, but we can't tell what varieties the clone is comprised of, we can simply see what the clone is related to.

Go to the Phylos Bioscience website and play with the Galaxy a little, you'll get an idea of how it works. Mostly comprised of US dispensary samples, but I am sending these companies DNA from dozens of Canadian vars to include in their analysis.
