Ok guys, can anyone help me to pick a course for college?

I want to do somthing that applies to growing and building grow rooms?

I know its not going to say "build grow rooms" but somthing that i would gain

knowledge and skills to make a grow room, while there teaching about

something else (so that i can get a job career after too) and then i can take that

skills training and build a nice and

safe environment to grow in. any ideas i am pretty stomp myself.

some universities host a "construction Management" major for future developers and General Contractors, but really, you could learn more by taking construction courses at the local community college industrial arts program.

Or hire on with a GC as a laborer and learn hands on.

Or join a union apprenticeship program, preferably electrical.

Or, if you are smart and have the ability to learn by reading, go to home depot and Barnes & Noble and read your way to expertise.

Either way could work.

Best of luck,

SS

Try Botany major, it will teach you how to be a breeder, the construction work is easy compared. Hope you like alot of bio and organic chemistry.

You do know that the first two years of college are all about cranking thru the basics and nothing much to do with your major, no? Find something you like and makes decent money and youll have all the freedom in the world to grow. Most people here will tell you it doesnt take any kind of degree to make a decent growroom, myself included.

Take basic courses like math and english. Expands your mind. If you go to a 2 year college, make sure they will transfer the credits to a 4 year college if you decide to do that later. Hey, we will help with the grow room. Go over to the grow room design forum here at icmag. The public library is great and free. Lots of fun stuff. Just look around.

go hang out in the schools library. its a free education and its probably just as good since you only want to build grow rooms.

or just go hang out in humboldt county for a couple years. i'm sure you'll came away with some knowledge..

yea just go rent/buy some carpentry books
no classes necessary
its really not all that hard
just takes time and effort

if you want to grow, horticulture
if you want to learn function and stuff, plant biology

i find that math geniuses cant cut a straight line...
or figure out WHY the box they thought would fit the space they intended it to... DIDNT...

SPACIAL aquity is necessary IF your going to be worth a damn designing for space AND building to suit...

take some drafting... cad.
THATS the best method of getting used to conceuptualize SPACE and tossing measurement figures around proficently enough to be worth hiring to manage such event...

that is IF your not going to put on a tool bag and LEARN by doing...

learning proper electrical skills is never a bad thing. have an interest in math? try electrical engineering.

SOmeone else mentioned CAD/ autocad. you can get a pretty nice degree with that in 2 years at community college and potentially start off at 40k a year if ya know what you're doin. 2 more years will guarantee ya a job in the field. Not necessarily much room for advancement, but thats why ya wanna use your design knowledge (after learning autocad) to work towards some kind of architectural degree.
By that time, you'll probably figure out that you don't need a huge growroom, just work hard at your job and grow some free herb for yourself. Reduce your risk, make plently of legit, bankable money, and smoke all you want.

wow a decently readable post from you, without, the needless retarded ass purposely misspelled slang, congrats to you. i hope you attend college and leave that stupid shit behind, that shit is annoying.
