Pistils in veg?

My Blueberry and Chocolate Diesels have been in veg for 2 months (from seed) and just recently (in the past day or so) have started sprouting what look like pistils from the nodes right up next to the branch union. Is this normal?

Second question: These aren't feminized seeds, yet pretty much all 17 plants are showing the tiny pear shaped pods with a pair of white hairs sticking out. Could I really have gotten that lucky?

Almost forgot, thanks very much for the info. I was just curious.

Some people are luckier then others, but that surely is possible if they're already sexing.

How long have they been in veg & what light cycle?

Two months under 18 on. Currently sitting under a pair of 600W HPS. The only interruption was a week ago when the A/C kicked out and I had to cut the lights a few hours early, but they only missed about 2-3 hours of their normal cycle.

congrats on the harem now throw them babe's under 12/12 and sex the rest that havent.
when a plant matures alternating nodes will appear this will happen anywhere from 3-6 wks from sprout with alot of strains

this is the time thats ripe for sexing the plants a preflower is a very good indicator of sex

because of my old tired eyes i use a 10 x power jewelers eye for inspection of the internode erea, i start from 4th - 5th node on upward looking for preflowers :)

could be lotus has provided optimum grow conditations for his plants thus improving his FM/M ratio :chin: nature isnt optimum. inside we control the conditations thus abel to provide optimum growing conditations with little to no stress for the plants

I know we can literally play God indoors... My first real indoor crop, I got 26 females out of 26 seeds germed! I was in shock, and couldn't believe what I was seeing... Months later it turned out over half of them were herms... I ran 3 strains that grow, and one was all herms as mentioned... I have heard that optimum conditions can give you better female odds, but I still believe it's mostly genetics which determine sex...

Keep a close eye on them. Mine showed preflowers and the preflowers were accurate...almost. One that really looked fem turned out to be male, or maybe a herm. I shitcanned it.

Well, I've got all except a few I kept back for cloning stock in flower as of today (it's also the first "full flower moon" of spring tonight. Doesn't matter indoors, but still a nice omen). All of the Choco D's gave me pistils. A few of the Blueberry are showing, but there are still some that haven't given any hints. I'll keep a stern eye out for herms, so I can ditch them. If I'm lucky, then we'll have no problems, and 17 beautiful girls to harvest in a few months. I'll post pics in a few weeks. Thanks for all the input.
