I love my Floyd but had ashamedly never heard of this one before until it was mentioned on icmag Chat yesterday, EZB i think it was - cheers mate! So, I downloaded it. Three versions. Ok ...
What the hell am I talking about? Well, the idea is you get the original 1939 technicolor Judy Garland version of "The Wizard Of Oz". Then when the MGM lion roars for the third time start playing Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side Of The Moon", and you will notice all sorts of things in the soundtrack that appear to correlate to the movie. (There are at least 4 working, different torrents - just search the various torrent engines for "dark side" and youll find it, i know there is one at torrentspy for example)
All members of Pink Floyd have always denied that it was intentional and have always stated that all sync coincidences are just that - coincidental. But damn there are a lot of coincidences!

For a quick demo of what this is all about, there are 4 video snippets here - http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2007/03/20/video-mashup-dark-side-of-oz
Wikipedia not surprisingly also has a page about it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_side_of_the_rainbow
Some of the best known syncs include ...
- When Dorothy opens the door to the colourful world of Oz, the "cha-ching!" cash register sound fx start for the intro of the song 'Money' - a very funky effect!
- As Dorothy grabs her bag while she's at Professor Marvels, with the impending tornado, the song changes to 'The Great Gig In The Sky' ... the sound of a slide guitar, similar to a warning siren, is heard as you see the approaching tornado
- The lyrics "black ... and blue ..... and who knows which is which?" are timed to show the witch (black), then Dorothy (blue dress) ... then "which is which", an obvious reference to them both being witches
- Even at the end the Tinman has his dream come true - the sound effect of a beating heart is heard
And many many more ... coincidence or intentional? Some people just do not get it at all, while others swear the coincidences are too numerous and well timed. I certainly wouldn't put it past Pink Floyd to do something like this, but who knows ... you be the judge!
