Learning to fly....my favorite song from Pink Floyd. Anybody ever see the Pink Floyd Experience? I went a few years ago with PoopyTeaBags and a few hits of awesome Cali paper...it was memorable:)

yeah, another Pink Floyd fan here...

Favorite albums: Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, A Saucerful of Secrets, Ummagumma

Favorite Songs: set the controls for the heart of the sun, interstellar overdrive, astronomy domine, let there be light, jugband blues,,, and many other, most Barrett's work....

don't like their late work; ie. momentary lapse of reason and the division bell....

"Ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah
Hah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah - oh!
I've been looking all over the place
for a place for me
But it ain't anywhere
It just ain't anywhere."

Love Floyd, went to the division bell tour. It was great to see them, never thought I'd get the chance.

Greatest gig in the sky was a fav until adverts killed it. Also like early/earlier stuff. I think Final Cut is probably my favourite album, closely followed by Momentary Lapse of Reason. For video i do love the live in Pompeii album. That's just some trippy lovelyness.

I agree the Division bell was a bit of a donkey!

They had to do the division bell album to deal with the death issue. They did the birth and development of the self with the wall, then the corruption of the self through experience with darkside so db is an important work even though it may not necessarily be their greatest.
Just my view.

Animals is an incredible album, Dogs definitely my favorite song on it. Never listened to it on shrooms though, only darkside. Couldnt say what my favorite song is, comfortably numb (solo) was always up there, dogs, on the turning away, sorrow... lots I cant think of. Really like Pulse (live)

The Franklin Institute used to have some awesome Pink Floyd laser light shows. Unfortunately, they shut em down because they attracted too many "pot smokers." Anyway, I have never heard a song by Pink Floyd that I did not like. My favorite song is Fat Old Sun.

Easily the best live show I ever saw.

Division Bell 1994 Oakland - Even though Roger Waters wasn't there, at times I couldn't even get out of my seat. They had giant boars inflating and fire coming out as well as a ridiculous laser cannon making designs on the crowd, stage and clouds all at the same time. There was literally an endless line of people selling drugs, I could not believe it..Best doses I ever took, black pyramid gels with gold specks, insane..The break they took 15 minutes into the show really confused the heck outta me..
Amazing! The Wall, Animals, and many more are my favorite albums...hard to find any I don''t like..

Even though I am a die-hard Waters fan. I would still love to see the boys in action with or without RW. Not because I think PF is PF without him, I dont.. It must be awesome to sit through Comfortably Numb by Gillmore ..Fat Old Sun has similar energy to some of the Animals songs in it.. Dreamy, trippy and very layered.
Mouldy Dreads, you must have been outa your scull on the pyramids?

PF was instrumental when I left my wife. Helped me keep things in perspective. :joint: I can never take advice or listen to anyone that hasn't felt like they are losing their freakin' mind!!! Never been happier....:woohoo:

I know this is sacrilege, but I actually like TDB. I used to get tatt'ed by this artist in Florida, and the artist played the whole DB album. I also have the PULSE dvd that we get stoned-and watch from time to time. The SOYCD on the DVD gets me every time...

I can't listen to WISH YOU WERE HERE anymore..too many times I heard it at funerals or memorials.. :frown:
