Good evening all :tiphat:
Actually it’s around 12:30 am here and I’m having a last joint before bed, but I digress…

Received some lovely sounding testers from real gorilla (thanks @PANIKZ ) of pink cherry pie, which are :

New Strain (Pink Cherry Pie) is a cross of Cherry Pie x Pink DFG pheno , cherry pie being a purple afghani x og kush , indica dominant leaning strain with pink purple hues , harvest around beginning october .

going to give them a test run indoor under led, being a Mars hydro fce-4800 480w

To start with they’ve gone in some pots, light watering and in a bag somewhere warm until they pop.

Here’s a list of dealers/retailers I received by email from miracle gro US

“Unfortunately, we sold our European and Australian Lawn and Garden businesses in 2017”

These are the websites that were active at the time of sale. The current owner of the respective brands and business may deactivate a site and we would have no knowledge of it or information regarding if or when the site will be reactivated:

*Australia, New Zealand: www.scottsaustralia.com.au
*Austria: www.liebedeinengarten.at
*Denmark: www.substral.dk
*Finland: www.substral.fi
*France: www.lapausejardin.fr
*Germany: www.liebedeinengarten.de
*Hungary: www.substral.hu
*Ireland: www.lovethegarden.com
*Norway: www.substral.no
*Sweden: www.substral.se
*United Kingdom: www.lovethegarden.com

I have looked at the UK site and it is active. It actually seems to have enough information available that one COULD I think, approximate this compost if one wanted to. I’m not sure I’m up to that right now, though Amazon has a portable cement mixer that’s fairly reasonable and could mix a yard or two at a time.

I know that’s how Ed Rosenthal mixes his soil. I think he has already transitioned away from peat and my recollection is for drainage and oxygen capacity more than the sustainability issues. I think I found this by chance researching aphids and fungus gnats last summer. I’ve probably got it saved in my notes…….

I cannot find my copy of Ed’s “Growers Bible?” or my original large format copy of “Sinsemilla”

I used to lust after those bud pics in Sinsemilla long ago and BBP

Before Bud Porn

Grow on

Devastation.

The seeds seemed to be taking a long time to do anything…. The 2 up ones shrivelled, so I planted the last 2… still nothing, so I did a little excavation only to find they were all being eaten by root aphids 😭😭

I’ve thrown the soil I had left and chucked the seedlings (mushy) away, @PANIKZ has been kind enough to send some more seeds so when they arrive they’ll be in new soil.

Gutted 😞

Bummer! I guess root aphids like cherry pie too! U sprout them right in the soil?
They turned the damn things to mush! I sprayed the little feckers with bug clear before I threw them out I was that annoyed
Yep, always done direct to soil… never once had this problem in over 30 years of popping.

Ditched the whole bag of soil too, going to grab some seed and cutting compost later on

Bucketed up yesterday, light up to 75% - still under Mars fce 4800 so 75% is 360w.
I will increase to 100% in the next week or two
All looking fine :tiphat:

I’m trying to add pics with no luck - I’ll try again tomorrow
