Pinching tips for Newb

I've been looking into pinching my sativas, and it seems there's 2 different methods. Some of the videos/info I've seen shows simply pinching off the top bud of each plant, and other videos/info where people squeeze the branch and bend it over. Is one method more effective than the other? I'm growing sativas from feminized seeds, so should i worry about the stress from pinching causing hermies? If so, which method is better to avoid stressing them as much? I also need to cut out/trim the bottom branches, should I trim and pinch at the same time, or wait a couple days between pinching and trimming?
Thanks.

Look up Super Cropping that's the pinching method that might be better for as far along as the plants seem.

For me, pinching caused a growth explosion, super crop kept things under control. If you have more space than you know what to do with, pinch. If space is limited, as it was with me, fold.

By pinching, do you mean pinching part of the plant off? Or just supercropping with out fold over?
