2016 ended up being a solid season up in the PNW, with a mild summer full of temps right in the sweet spot for vegetative growth. This mild, dry weather ended slightly earlier than in recent years, say about 10 days, and so the later plants' quality and quantity suffered a little. Overall what I would call in hindsight an above-average year.

Hard to knock this little classic unless you simply must have a plant with more than average potency or big yields.
Lemon/Floral/Incense fragrance that becomes sweeter with curing--perfumed hash flavor. Manageable daytime high. Done mid-September and averaging 2 ounces per vertical foot on 4-5 foot plants. A staple from the guerrilla days that I still like having around a lot!

More to come, will be adding a few of these to the OD Strainguide as well.

HSO-Blueberry Headband

Two phenotypes. One very good, one just okay. Phenotype selection is really important with this one.

An excellent plant. Finished October 3rd, though in a pinch she could have come down a week earlier. Vigorous in vegetative growth with a pretty "busy" branching pattern and somewhat lanky stems that bear the bulk of the floral mass on the ends, making rain and wind something to look for. Benefits greatly from trellising. Fantastic yields, and I think I only scratched the surface of its capabilities.

Sweet, dank Headband smell and flavor. Indica dominant high, but not overpowering. Excellent for pain, or just for relaxing the body and mind. Very soothing cannabis.

Sluggish from the beginning and exhibiting some leaf mutations that I associate with DJ's Blueberry, I stuck with this plant in the hopes that it would also exhibit some dank blueberry fragrances at some point. No dice.

What I ended up with was a small (<6ft) and extraordinarily hardy hash plant. Smells, tastes like hash. Again, very good for pain but more sedative this time. Came down October 15 but I could have taken it 10 days earlier. Yielded well for its size.
