Picking a keeper

I’m curious about experiences if you have picked a keeper after a pheno hunt, harvest and say a 4 week cure. So you pick a keeper but as all the buds from the other plants cure out for a few more months one of the also ran phenos get much better than your original keeper. Anyone have an experience like that? Kind of like the nice but plain chick in school blossoms into the hottest woman ever.

I think of weed like I do women, no matter how hot she is there is someone out there sick of her shit.

With that being said I've had many great plants over the years but yet to find one I really want around for more than a few runs.

I usually keep based on calyx to leaf ratio, resin coating and flavor. There is a few flavors I really love, most of them stemming from haze but even then any excellent plants I've found with an exceptional flavor I kind of get sick of after a while.

I think truly great plants don't need much of a cure to be their best, legit OG kush for instance I prefer freshly dried vs cured. I also don't care for weed that's been cured for over 8 months, I prefer flavors from 0-3 months and after a year forget it gross.

Talk about being a total fucking weed snob LMAO

Well this time I’m keeping cuts of all the ladies for at least a few months after I harvest and cure and I just dropped 7 HeadBanger seeds in soil after they grew tails on the paper towels. I expected one to not pop but after a year plus in the freezer all 7 were good. Need to get another replacement pack for the freer but that may be a problem for a while.
