I will definitely report back as I go through the process. I don’t have a freeze dryer so I have to do it the long way in my actual freezer. It works the same just takes more time.

I’m changing it up a little though. I’m using three specific strains of fresh frozen buds because I want to make custom blends. I’ll be harvesting the last plant I’m using tonight or tomorrow.

Once that is frozen I will make the bubble hash. I have brand new 5 gallon bags. I’m going to do a 5 minute wash.

Pretty sure that goes into a jar then a vacuum bag under pressure then in the freezer to cure?
I looked into it a while back and didn't do it as I am a bit lazy.

Couple of things to add to the discussion.

Ideally you want the premium trichomes only so either 90u or 73u, strain dependent.

You want it to cure for at least a couple of months but more if possible, under vacuum, in the fridge, not the freezer.

Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Peace
Is there a preference for microplaning or freezedrying the hash after washing? Or did i get it wrong and the freeze dry is before washing?

The flowers get frozen in the freezer as soon as they are chopped off the plant to preserve the volatile terpenes, then washed, then the resin is freeze dried to try and limit oxidation, before being cured under vacuum at fridge temperature.

It is also important to use distilled water when washing the flower as tap water will affect taste and leave a white residue in the freeze drier.

Peace

What about rain water, no EC? We run our whole grow on it, no more RO :)
